Is there a way to slice samples in Sonar X3 Studio? I've tried messing around with the loop construction view which slices parts of the audio wav file, but I've been unable to find a way to save each slice as a separate wav file so that I can load them into battery 4 and assign them to a pad on my keyboard.

Does anyone know how to achieve this in sonar x3 studio or do you have recommendations for a free software that can do this for me?

You can probably use Cyclone, as well.

There are several ways to export. You might want to try drag and drop to folder/desktop after slicing.

I've tried messing with groove clip and loop construction, but I've still been unable to save the sliced files individually. The drag and drop doesn't work. There doesn't seem to be an option to save each slice in the menus or to export any of the sliced or export all slices into a folder. Maybe I don't know where the option is.

I was unable to get slice an audio file in cyclone.

I'll help you figure it out, if you want. Since you're aiming to end up in Battery, maybe you don't need SONAR?

Is this helpful?

Sure, would appreciate your help with sonar slicing. I've tried messing around with the loop construction, but I've been unable to save the sliced as individual wav files in order to load them up into pads in battery 4. I did manage to manually slice in battery, but I'm hoping there's an easier and a little automatic mode in sonar or in battery to achieve slicing.

The video isn't what I'm looking for, but the article might help. Thanks.

Hit me up via PM, and I'll see what I can do. If you can upload a loop/sample to slice, so we're working with the same material, that'd be great.
