I ran it. Gave my system an excellent rating and only prompted me to delete 4 little daemon files.

Yeah, the version of Logic Remote I have on my old iPad 3 (iOS 9) seems to work with LPX 10.4. Haven't run it through the wringer yet, but basic functions are OK.

When I went to download LR onto my iPhone 5 (iOS 10), I got the message saying the latest version isn't compatible; would I like to download the last compatible version? I did, and again, it seems to be working.

WTF? It didn't offer ME the last compatible version!!!!

Do you have a version of LR? I went through a hassle with my previous iPad, that wouldn't update past ios9. LR had a lot of problems connecting to Logic. The only thing that helped was to completely shut down the iPad, reboot, and then LR would connect.

I do feel your pain.

Can we get back to talking about Logic and related stuff, and stop all this Mac Vs PC bullshit? Normally i read even off-topic posts with some interest, but this platform war stuff is especially inappropriate in this thread, IMO.

i've never installed Logic Remote before, so i guess that's why Apple doesn't want to offer me an older version, the jerks. i didn't have a reason to install it until i got Logic X. i should not have waited, but i didn't really consider THIS scenario!

If you can't get Logic Remote on your iDevice you can get it via iTunes (12.6.3 or earlier). Then you should be able to download the previous version on your iPad or iPhone from your Purchases tab.

Edit: Apple says it's for OS 10.6, so may not allow a download for later OS. I encountered that once, so I downloaded on an old Mac and transferred via USB.

How is the new EQ? Apparently it’s not algorithmic but uses IRs. That should make one of the best 1073s.

Haven't tried it yet. The guy who did the horn demo above did say that the IKM version of the Pultec was better, which I have. I'll have to compare, but methinks I'm going to be stuck in bed for a while, as whatever bug going around has bitten my sorry arse.

Thank you to sprnva and Michael L for pointing me to the iTunes solution for getting Logic Remote. i booted Snow Leopard and used the older iTunes. Worked fine to get me the older version of the app on my iPad. Cheers!

I'm using the Tube EQ on a new track, I like it better than other "Pultecs" I've tried besides PSP NobleQ. Haven't used the 1073/Graphic EQ enough to form an opinion.

Chroma reverb is very sweet and versatile, fills the one gaping hole there was in the Logic effects lineup.
