I don't use my sustain pedal when playing Legend patches but a plugin should respond to Sustain Pedal CC#64 for those people who do wish to use their pedals.
I can't believe this was an oversight by Synapse since it's such a common control but I also can't imagine any logical reason for intentionally leaving it out since Legend does include features not found in the hardware. Perhaps there is a technical reason but again I can't imagine what it could be.
Oh well it's been reported....awaiting a response.

It's not a technical reason, just that a Sustain Pedal is not part of the original hardware. Initially we started with just that, a "hardcore" emulation strictly limited to the hardware. During development, quite a few extras were added. And now that we expanded The Legend v1.2 with performance parameters like Aftertouch, Foot, Expression pedal etc, I agree it makes sense to include the sustain pedal as well.Teksonik wrote:I don't use my sustain pedal when playing Legend patches but a plugin should respond to Sustain Pedal CC#64 for those people who do wish to use their pedals.

Yay!
Richard, please just make sure that in mono mode, sustain pedal is only applied on the last played note, so that we can do fast legato stuff without "eaten" attacks of subsequent notes (this is a problem in some plugins, like u-he's for example).
Basically, let's take this scenario: hold a single key, then while holding that key, just tap other keys around it for fast trills/legato. This should sound the same when sustain pedal is and isn't pressed. Here's a sound example of a plugin which doesn't handle it well with sustain pedal pressed (first with sustain, then without):

Pretty obvious there. (Plugin in that example is VAZ Modular, btw, and this behavior was subsequently fixed/option was added by Martin.)

Could you also fix CC74 please? (see previous post)

Hi Richard, while we are on that.... how about an osc sync switch or option... maybe enable it on the back panel in the mini matrix?

Like everyone else said neither is unison, four voice poly, fx etc etc etc......Chris-S wrote:Like I said.Richard_Synapse wrote: It's not a technical reason, just that a Sustain Pedal is not part of the original hardware.)
But I'm glad the sustain pedal will be implemented for those who want it.
Now how about 16 voice polyphony ?

How about implementing absolutely nothing more and just get rid of all the bugs?Teksonik wrote:Like everyone else said neither is unison, four voice poly, fx etc etc etc......Chris-S wrote:Like I said.Richard_Synapse wrote: It's not a technical reason, just that a Sustain Pedal is not part of the original hardware.)

Lay off the crack pipe. The additional features that we have already such as the delay and reverb are things that improve the original concept without going completely batshit overboard with it. They enhance The Legend without killing the spirit of the original Model D Mini Moog. With all the extra features being requested this synth will end up not sounding like a Moog anymore and lose its original direction.
Like Rich said earlier in the thread part of the Legend was keeping all the features and controls within the ranges of the original hardware. Once you start changing or expanding things it begins to sound like a totally different synth. The improvements from the original that we already have go far enough whilst maintaining the spirit of the original.

We are living in 2018 aren't we? Who said the additional features would take the synth away from the mogue mini... or rather think of it in this way... the additional features if implemented in the original may have been the reason that the Prophet5 was built.. to address exactly the lacking features of the minimoog...v1o wrote:Lay off the crack pipe. I think Richard is the developer and let him decide
