It looks like I will be buying an other vocoder plugin, the one that could de-throne my current top one. They are zynaptifying the orange vocoder plugin, in new plugin formats, cross-platform and with lots of new features.

Enjoy, and star counting down ...

AMD Ryzen 3900X & RX 5700XT, 128GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
Waldorf Blofeld & Pulse 2, Akai MAX49 & MPD226, Steinberg UR44 & CMC controllers
Cubase Pro 14, Nuendo 14, Wavelab Pro 12, Dorico Pro 5, Rapid Composer v5, FL Studio 2024

Too bad the quality of the video is so bad. Pretty tough to hear anything. But I am sure Zynaptiq is going one hell of a job on that Orange Vocoder to raise it up to a totally new level, just like they did with the other old Prosoniq plugins. Top quality stuff, no doubt.

Zynaptiq is one of my favorite company at the moment for deep creative plugins. Yes they're expensive and they're CPU hogs but sonically they are pristine and very unique.

@Denis, when (or if) you read this, can you post something with a better quality so we can enjoy and really hear what's is coming up with that Orange bad boy? :ud:

Glad someone was able to record it with their Motorola RAZR. I hope it's not absurdly expensive.

I wonder if it will be really different from the Image-Line Vocoder...

Post

I do hope though that they don't make it as difficult to use in realtime as their other plugins - latency is far too high in Wormhole as it is for something that should be a realtime effect, the same applies to vocoding

Define expensive for you.

Video presentation is rather promising - looks that Zynaptiq is bringing us something new.

I was hoping under $150. I guess based on their strangely fixed-price models it'll be $179 with a small intro offer of about $149. The best thing about it is probably going to be the sound. Regarding flexibilty, it looks like it pales to Virta, Lector, Mvocoder, etc. which all give you standard options like changing the number of bands, shifting bands, and extensive modulation capabilities. Not knocking it, necessarily. Sound is obviously the most important, but I just can't justify $179 personally.

Yeah I guess the price is going to be in the same range as their other plugins, I guess.... But let's wait until we have more info, who knows. I have to admit though, a vocoder at $180 is quite high, especially with all the competition around. Better be one hell of a gem. But it's Zynaptiq, so it might be.

Good vocoders always seem relatively expensive whether software or hardware.

Yes. It's unstable as hell on my system as are all of XILS vsts.

I agree with the above replies, their vocoder is too expensive as are many of their plugins. Also they dont tend to do sales as often as others.

I think Live's vocoder is "good" - free for all Live users.
