so I got a 1st gen nord lead today - I'm as happy as a, hm, thinking of something funny - hm..... as a chicken in a blender! yah!

so anyway, anyone have tips/tricks/fun things to try? the yahoo group is a dead scene, and the google bastard is only pulling up links for the newer models....

c'mon - share you're secrets

I'm just reading the manual and tweaking for now...

I prefer to use mine in a tub full of water

very stimulating & assists in Hyper-Alpha wave generation in the unit & myself simultaneously.

I don´t think that you should put electronics in a bathtub.

The ideal placement would be in a rack or similar.
And also, don´t use the device with wet hands or mouths.

Do this to get a sickening sound out of the nord...

Osc 1: Triangle
Osc 2: Pulse(width) tuned -12 unsynced

Mix: 100% Triangle

Turn your FM knob up to about 60-65%

Now, tweak the pulsewidth control for Osc 2.

There have some nice vocal like madness. My favorite nord sound, though easiely achievable on most synths. The nord just does it better.
