They may no longer have the rights. Best Service operates a lot of licensing deals and if the rights have expired it probably isn't worth the aggro of negotiating a new deal - especially as they'd have to offer the results at bargain-basement levels.

You used to be able to convert these formats years ago. Actually one of those programs seems to be around still - not sure if it's compatible anymore...seems to have stopped with XP.

I converted every one of my Akai / Giga / Roland format libraries to Kontakt / wav like 12 or 13 years ago. Only a masochist would still be using those formats!

As others have said - those libraries are still used today. I hear Vocal Planet, Distorted Reality, Bizarre Guitar, Symphony of Voices all the time - in pop, hip-hop, tv / film scores, commercials. More so now, probably because most of that stuff is in the Omnisphere 2 stock library. And honestly, if you have Omnis 2, you probably have quite a bit of their older catalog.

But flashback to 2002 - here's John Powell using a bunch of their drum loops (forget which library...Heart of Africa maybe?) in Bourne Identity:

Holy ^%$#, that was 16 years ago.
