Teksonik, just found out that colors can in fact BE changed in the .ini file. Here are the lines:

Code: Select all

EditColor=$22d6f6
FontColor=$12ea40
FrameColor=$607080
HiddenColor=$22d6f6
KnobColor=$c02080
OverflowColor=$0000ff
SliderColor=$ff4040
SectionColor=$12ea40
ValueColor=$22d6f6
WindowColor=$202020
There's also an option for filled sliders instead of a small slider head, you would set FlatSliders=1. BTW, colors are BGR, not RGB.

Here are colors inspired by Waldorf Q Halloween Edition:

Code: Select all

EditColor=$0099ff
FontColor=$26d5f7
FrameColor=$999999
HiddenColor=$0000ff
KnobColor=$c02080
OverflowColor=$563cfa
SliderColor=$607080
SectionColor=$4080de
ValueColor=$0099ff
WindowColor=$20202a

OMG.. that's so much better.

Might download and go through the trouble to get Tranzistow at this rate.

Nice work man. 8)

Cool, thanks ! I'll give it a go and post the results. :)

There was another synth that did it this way, can't remember which now. So it's find the hex value for the color you want then flip the first and last set of values ? I got this....... :D

Or not........ :lol: I've managed to bugger it up somehow. Now the resize no longer works. Something I'm doing wrong. :oops:

Does this look right or what did I do wrong ?

It should be called Tranzistow.ini, and either next to plugin's DLL or in %LOCALAPPDATA\Tranzistow\

Can't seem to do it .
I created a new subfolder in the local folder called diodow and tranzistow .
Saved a text file as an ini. file , pasted colour settings .

You know guys, this might be a first. A thread I started that didn't turn into a train wreck. LOL.

You need to add [Editor] as first line in the .ini file

There's no need for Diodow subfolder, it only looks for Tranzistow.ini, AFAIK.

I think EvilDragon posted the info above, or maybe it's over on Gearslutz. Anyway, for me on Reaper, the file is named "Tranzistow.ini", and I had to create a "Tranzistow" directory in %APPDATA%, that is: "[user]\AppData\Local\Tranzistow", to put the file in. The plug doesn't create it on its own it seems.

That seems fine.

I also had a random occurence of resize not quite working (every time I'd instantiate Tranzistow it would go bigger and bigger and bigger). After closing and reopening the DAW it was back to normal...

I am trying ot for both ( diodow and tranzistow )
Main question is , is there al ready an ini.file present ?
There isn't even a folder in appdata that's called ' Tranzistow ..so I assume that folder needs to be created also
I can't seem to find it , so I created one myself ( both folder and ini.file ) and placed in all possible folder I could think of .
-vst dir .folder
-and localappdata\Tranzistow\

No, there's no INI file present, plugin doesn't create it, you need to.
