I've been posting links to Transistor tutorials over on Gearslutz:
01 Basic Saws: http://vze26m98.net/tranzistow/01%20Bas ... 180125.zip
02 LFO Audition: http://vze26m98.net/tranzistow/02%20LFO ... 180126.zip
03 Signal Flow: http://vze26m98.net/tranzistow/03%20Sig ... 180131.zip
04 Pitch Modulated Filters: http://vze26m98.net/tranzistow/04%20Pit ... 180201.zip
I'll start to post the links over here as well. I'm not an expert; just really like Tranzistow, and hope to get a >noiseless< copy in the future. I hope someone finds something of value.

But it has no decent GUI, so it's no good for the vast majority of people who want to use it in a practical way. Doesn't matter how good it sounds, it's unusable for many other people.kokotte wrote:i'm not right?Neon Breath wrote:Quote of the day!kokotte wrote:Tranzistow is one of the best synth today.

Go ahead and suggest a GUI that can easily convey over 3500 parameters without being overbearing or too slow to edit.
Those who are willing to crack this nut are going to be immensely rewarded. Others aren't important and Tranzistow is not intended for them.

i remember people having the same problem with zebra, it's ok for me, i understand, some members prefer sylenth, great, but i prefer transzistow and zebra.

Don't get upset because I don't think it's the best thing in the world. The guy said it's the best, I disagree strongly, because of the very fact it has no decent GUI.EvilDragon wrote:Go ahead and suggest a GUI that can easily convey over 3500 parameters without being overbearing or too slow to edit.

Design layout, usability, workflow, sound, aesthetics, performance, all key points that must be addressed to be qualified as 'best' in my book.egbert101 wrote:Don't get upset because I don't think it's the best thing in the world. Your book is flawed.
Listen to the sounds created with it.

Interface is not a problem if you use something like Kore or Komplete Kontrol as it can just be broken into chunks handled by knobs like any other plugin

No he's not flawed, but your opinion is. Look, I used to read your posts and they used to be full of sensible helpful stuff, but people do change. Recently, it's like someone hacked into your account or something and changed your personality.EvilDragon wrote:Your book is flawed.Listen to the sounds created with it.
Doesn't matter how good it sounds, if you can't use it as a tool. User interface is a factor in determining whether something is the best or not.

I'm using it as a tool. So then?
I can assure you my personality didn't change.

How can someone's opinion be flawed if they like a synth for what it is? Use cases and preferences and past experiences and comfort zones differ. This is an immense workhorse synthesis tool for those who are so inclined. And it's totally understandable some other people might not be so inclined.egbert101 wrote:No he's not flawed, but your opinion is.
It is being used as a tool as we speak. You personally can't use it as a tool, and other people who share your view can't either. But objectively you of course can use it as a very powerful tool if you resonate with its approach.egbert101 wrote:Doesn't matter how good it sounds, if you can't use it as a tool.
