Just edit the .hp files after you save them, easy.

Meanwhile I contacted Hrast and asked him about this, let's see what happens. Relative paths are important for patch sharing. However it's very easy to batch text edit things if all the samples are placed in the same subfolder (which they should be).

Ok I change the Calamity Jane patch to remove the sample path and simply put:

[SampleOsc.1]
SampleOscFile=Samples\E0004.wav
SampleOscLoop=-1
SampleOscLevel=0.9668874

Loads now. :tu:

Yes, relative paths work. So, in order to correct those, a text editor like Notepad plus plus could be pointed to the directory all those .hp presets reside in and replace all paths like
c:\program files\steinberg\vstplugins\diodow\diodowpatches\ with
samples\ and also
c:\temp\diodow\diodowpatches\samples\ with just
samples\

This would work if your presets were in the same directory as the diodow-presets. If not, some more adjustments need to be done. Would you mind also sharing the samples used?

So the list currently looks like this:

Code: Select all

using factory samples with absolute path:

I don't know if you've already got the full version of Tranzistow but if not the developer owes you a copy for all the work you've done. :tu:

I do have it already. Hrast is an acquaintance of mine :)

Once Hrast confirms my authorship of these patches and get the full version, I'll be happy to share the samples.

Ahh I see....please give him my appreciation for his work. :tu:

So when creating patches what is the proper procedure when using samples so they automatically save like EDT's rather than the way there were saved in the Wags patches ?

Sadly every time I try to load a sample into an Osc in Diodow Reaper crashes. I'll try in FL Studio to see what happens :?

You should probably take the patches down until you can share the samples they use or at least the ones that use factory samples are fixed.

I'm not using Diodow so can't say (also it could be that the version on the website is not the absolute latest, I have Tranzistow v8, and on the site there's v4... I'll tell Hrast to update it when he can.

The way I do it is simply: I have a Samples subfolder in TranzistowPatches, and this is where all samples go. If I save a patch that uses samples, then I text edit it so that all sample references look like "Samples/<samplename>.wav". It's pretty easy to batch it in Notepad++.

Not an easy task as I didn't write down the ones where I used samples and I'd like people to have them for the OSC if they want to use any. I feel this is still better than not making them available at all. There are only 12 patches with samples. That still leaves well over a hundred that are usable.

That's why i attached that list.

I'll start to post the links over here as well. I'm not an expert; just really like Tranzistow, and hope to get a >noiseless< copy in the future. I hope someone finds something of value.
Thanks a lot for your tutorials, it is sometimes very helpfull to be taken by the hand :)

You're sure that's the whole thing? I can go back in and edit the paths, provided I have a text editor that will work and reupload the files but it's going to take some time.

Still, going to wait to make sure the dev got my patches and have been approved. Hate to have done all this work for nothing.

Just install Notepad++. It's pretty awesome, and free.
