As it comes to the full versions, the time has come -I think- that more and more people ask themselves: "Do I need another native plugin?" which leads to: "Do I need another upgrade?"

So yes, upgrade policies are crucial IMO. There is a reason why FLS and Reaper have become so popular. And why, for instance, Ableton is struggling with the presentation of a 'new' version.
