Did anyone else get this on first release?
A few sounds had faults and the fixes were put on line for download, I only had dialup at the time so Dan sent me the fixes on cd :D Only catch was, they were in .sit format and I needed a password to open them. Long story, but I've had to do a complete reinstall and can't remember the .sit password so can't use the fixes.
I've contacted SR tech support, as well as Dan, but haven't heard from them yet. If anyone has the password can they please pm me? I don't want to have the Stuffit demo (I hate it) on my pc for too long.
Thanks
Ian

Florida is being hit by a lot of hurricanes so hang in there. I am not sure Squids has his internet connection at home yet. Hopefully tomorrow morning. He was around for a bit earlier today.

Ooops  Good point prog', I forgot about that  I was hoping somebody here would have the info. Surely I can't be the only person at KvR to have bought one of the first releases of SR Bass Collection?

I have the bass collection, but the patches I have used in that are fine, although I do have problems with one, but don't use that much.

Squids ... bumping this so you see it :)

I have the bass collection, but I sin

Dan mailed me a new CD of the Bass Collection a few months ago.

I have the same problem. One of these days I'll get around to asking for the update... procrastination sucks.

Just ask Dan for another replacement disc. I don't even know that old password at this point for a one-off stuffit file. That is why a download like that should be unstuffed right away.

The replacement disc he'd send you now won't have a stuffit file, it will just have the sounds there to relace what you have. To avoid confusion for anyone else, this was just for some of the very first Bass Collections that went out a long time ago. The fixes were made to those sounds and put onto the main disc (so most people probably do not have this same issue and I want to avoid sending the same exact thing some people already have).

Here's another thing you could do. If you were to buy any ST2 product (including a library with ST2 LE) then ask Dan to throw in the version 2 disc of the Bass Collection and then not only will you have those fixes but you'll have some additional patches as well. If you already have ST2 then Dan would probably send you the version 2 disc anyway to make you happy but if he's already sent you one before then it is obviously better for us if repeated discs we send out at least piggy back on the shipment of another order. ("technically" if everyone asked for discs to be resent and resent then esoundz would go out of business... luckily it doesn't happen that much though, but international shipping isn't cheap!).

Cheers Squids :D
I'll drop Dan a line later.
Are the fixes still availble for download? I've got broadband now, so downloading them wouldn't be a problem.

Oh, if you emailed dan@sonicreality there is a problem with that email account. We need to fix it (he's not getting them all of a sudden). But, anyway, email support@esoundz.com and the whole dept will get it and make arrangements for you to get it.

Thanks again Squids, but I've already contacted SR support (8/10/04) prior to posting here, no reply tho'.
I gave all my details, items I'd bought thro' SR, old email address and present email address, postal address, all I could think of really. I'm hoping Dan or somebody can remember the .sit password, it'll be easier all round if I can just use the fixes on cd I already have.

'EDIT'
I've just mailed the same message to support@esoundz.com

Try the password: Reality or reality. I bet that's it. I had to look up an OLD email to find this. I hope it works. Let me know.

(Who else would look this up for you at 3 in the morning? ;) )
