So I got a blofeld with 1.02 firmware, I suppose updating the firmware is a must but I wonder if 1.22 is the best or maybe something older?

ANy advice is welcome!

I just updated from 1.15 to 1.22 today

So far so good. No glitchy discoveries yet.

I updates directly to 1.22 and waveforms werent showing their named when using the shape encoder.

Downgrade to 1.15 then to 1.22. Everything is fine now.

I got v1.16b on my Blofeld keyboard but can't manage to update to 1.22. First of all the USB connection isn't working at all, neither on Win 7 nor OS X. Broken? Anyway, even via MIDI I can't update the OS. I see the update screen (Nietzsche), but after the transfer either nothing happens or the screen turns blank. In both cases the update fails.

I tried using sending the Rescue.mid file, nothing happens.
I tried entering the Rescue mode with holding UTILITY+GLOBAL, but the Blofeld doesn't accept any data.

The only thing that works without problems is updating the keyboard firmware to v1.4. So I can be sure that my MIDI connnection is working. Just installing the OS update is not possible.Found a lot of entries about this topic in Google, but unfortunately no (working) solution.

Did anyone experience similar problems and has a clue?

I just noticed on the Waldorf website a new Waldorf Blofeld firmware update: v1.24. Has anyone tried that one already?

It's identical to v1.22, except it contains integration with new keyboard controller, which is used on most recently produced Blofeld Keyboards.

A Program can't fix ground loops.
Get a di box

Waldorf Blofeld has got a new firmware update :)
