Simple question, simple answer. You need to use the "Item: Duplicate selected area of items" action.

Paint the are u wanna copy, shift+r to create a region, ctrl+drag to copy the region.
If you want to be able to do it Ableton style (ctrl+d), you need to do some adjustments that I don't remember now.. There was instructions somewhere at Reapers forums.

No need to use regions at all. Bind Ctrl+D to the above mentioned action and Bob's your uncle.

Duplicate takes the item(s) you selected and pastes them right after the end of last selected item. Paste pastes from wherever edit cursor is.

There's also an option to duplicate a track. It's not hooked to any shortcut by default though.. I put it in to shift+dApratim wrote:just noticed the duplicate optio(ctrl + d)EvilDragon wrote:Simple question, simple answer. You need to use the "Item: Duplicate selected area of items" action.
