I'm so puzzled by this? Is it only a "demo" and there actually exists a commercial version or what's the deal... it's too darn painful for me to read his website. I have to say, to me and my eyes, this is probably one of the worst websites I know of. Almost a work of art I would avoid, haha.
But other than that: That sounds amazing!
Boy, I so wished he would permit himself to go a little bit more conventional with the peripheral matters of VST development.

(thanks for the -1 tip!) :tu:

Post

Neither DW nor TW are commercial. Hence complete disregard for how a website should look.

Post

I don't care whatsoever what the reasons may be, I just can't read through it without considerable discomfort. Virtually everything I've created in the last 10 years is free, but that doesn't make me create unapproachable website, you know. If only it was a matter of taste, but it is literally painful.

It's quite cozy in a fUSION Anomaly kind of way http://fusionanomaly.net/nodebase.html

:P

Post

Ööh, did I just post a link to fUSION Anomaly in an OSC thread? :D (Seriously though, sorry for the off topic; the Hrast site genuinely does remind me of that "weird web" classic from all the way to the 90s.)

Post

Dear god!
Well, I should add, I'm getting so-called "Aura Migraines", which may be some constrictions of blood vessels to the visual cortex, I don't know, but it gets triggered by reading bright on dark far more easily than the other way around. Once those migraines kick in, a pattern forms in the center of my vision (fancy, colorful and flickering. Almost like native American kind of designs), which gradually grows, as if you had just stared into bright light. As it grows, the blind area gradually goes to the peripheral vision, but on its way there, spots of my field of vision just vanish. It becomes nearly impossible to read or even see entire faces. Quite eerie. So, yeah, I dislike anything that triggers this... but enough about me, haha! :hihi:

I have the exact same thing! Being serious here. It doesn't get triggered by visual stimuli, and instead it sort of comes and goes, a few times a year, seemingly at random. Hasn't changed for the worse, it's been like this for decades already, and it's not accompanied by headaches. The visual experience of it is ^ exactly what you wrote. Flickering/shimmering jagged "native ornament" stuff, drifting to my peripheral vision while the area grows, and then it quiets down.

So... yeah.

:help:

Post

Sorry for almost triggering your native American designs by the way. There's something I don't think I've said before :D. I promise the next thing I post here will be firmly OSC related again.

If you want a full working copy of Tranzistow, download and read the PDF. It explains how to get it. I got mine and it's absolutely my favorite synth. You will love it. I guarantee it.

hmmm, I wonder if participating in this OSC qualifies as per [*] Beyond Demo, paragraph 5, sentence 4? :hihi:
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

No, it doesn't. Only the winner will get a copy. You need to fulfill the requirements as laid out in the PDF.

Post

So did you go the 200 patches route wagtunes?

Post

He most certainly did.

Yeah. By the end of this month I'll have about 250 or more. And I intend to keep creating these for quite some time and send them all to the dev as a thank you for two amazing synths that didn't cost me a penny.

In a day and age where so many synths are ridiculously overpriced and under-featured, this was a breath of fresh air.

Post

did you do 200 rnb specific sounds?

:hihi:
:ud:
