If I was on the DUC or sounds on sounds or gearslutz forum the phrase 'Ableton is the greatest daw on the planet' probably wouldn't have as much meaning as many there are in bands or mix. Well this forum, saying that is pretty accurate..assuming that the bulk of people here do electronic music. Ableton at a technical level is by far the best daw for electronic music and that is a fact that cannot be argued.
Those who refute it either dont quite understand what electronic is or they're not very good at it or they hardly use Ableton. But if you actually believe it isn't then I challenge you to categorically state how. Until then do not attempt to correct those who are right. Correct people when they're wrong, like I'm doing to you now.

It can be argued, but I don't really want to. Have your opinion, do whatever with it, but don't be getting in someones face because they're not using Live. Just relax, seriously, everyone has a different way of doing things.

As someone who uses a lot of midi and likes editing enormous blocks of MIDI data, Ableton is not "the best daw for electronic music".

So I'm fine with Lite for whizzpopping and general mucking about.

I remember he was asking about features of Live in other thread and he isn't actually as familiar with it as other die-hard users. He is obviously trolling :hihi:

RE: Large blocks of MIDI data>>>Exactly
Maybe Kinh doesn't know what MIDI is and just has lots sample libraries and just pulls other people's loops into Live, triggers them off and goes... whoooa... I made a toon...

So no one bothered to come up with a sensible argument which is exactly what i expected. Just a bunch of posers trying to divert the attention elsewhere. Nothing unusual here.

Thanks for playing

Okay let me take a crack at this.
-No MPE
-No Native Pitch Correction
-No Comping
-No VST3 support.
-Lack of Advanced Midi Editing tools compared to Logic or Cubase.
-Lack of powerful audio editing.
-Expensive when compared to the competition.
Yadda Yadda.
Now besides this list of shortcomings I must agree that Ableton Live is a very good, effective program. I use it a lot. And I'm not denying the fact that it works the best for many people. But your Cancerous, Childish, elitist attitude is the exact thing the leaves a dark mark on the Ableton community in the eyes of so many.
So "Matthew", Instead of wasting your time shoving Ableton Live down everyones throats, criticizing people who work differently, and going on about how much better everyones music would be if they used the DAW that You use, why don't you use Live to actually make some music. I am sure that all 26 of your devoted Soundcloud followers can't wait to hear what your next cookie-cutter Future Bass Beat will sound like :tu:
On that Note, I will show myself the Door on this Forum, Have a good Day everyone.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

Fanks for listening ta some shit i did 2 years ago  Its such an honor when the little people hear your stuff :tu: . And nuthin' of what you said convinces me ableton is lacking anything other than...little people. But it wasn't designed for dwarfs and dats where you're confused.
