That's why I use Movavi Screen Capture.

Its completely free and it takes care of all that for you.
You just hit the Export button and then just select the render quality and size,
which goes up to full HD 1920x1080.
It also records the audio in real time and puts in in a separate track.
The cool thing is the Movavi editor is also free so you don't have to buy Premier,
which also is great but not free.
Back when I had low bandwidth I would just start the YouTube upload over night.
Let me know if you try it and I will send my step by step directions I used for the demo video.

I have tried screen capture for video but it doesn’t get the audio from my Scarlett interface, so I dont know if there is a trick way to make that work. If I am using my DAW I can record the audio with a recording plugin in it, and match that up afterwards with the video, but it’s a pain.

I did try Movavi. But my demo expired. Was a bit confused because i thought it was free. Also it was constantly trying to go online. I use OBS for capture and its pretty good. Where things get tricky is to record voice and daw playback at the same time with no latency. This can be done with Voicemeter Bananna acting as your asio mixer.

It works fine. My issue is understanding video codecs and specs and where to set them for a happy medium.

LOL!!!! I wish I could leave something running all night. Part of my attention issues are the fact that I am always racing the clock. I live off grid on solar power. About 1200 watts per day. Say that out loud..........1200 w per day. And believe it or not I uave a normal refrigerator. My PC time alotment per day is about 1.5 hrs. FOR EVERYTHING that needs PC cpu power. Internet isnt a problem because I use a 5v tablet.

I live in some twisted time warp but I wouldnt change it.

My goodness! That makes me realize how lucky I am to be able to spend 18 hours a day at this computer, and then leave it on over night. Yikes. Do you have an exercise bike you could hook up to it somehow, hehe.

What happens if it's a cloudy day?

I'm looking forward to the day Fathom makes us rich, then I will send you some more solar panels!

Knowing me, I would spend 18 hrs in front of the screen too.

I made a power generator out of an old exercise bike and a treadmil motor. It works great. I can generate about 50w per hr. 1 hr on the bike equals 1 hr of laptop use.

Right now its cloudy. Think of it as a graduated power outage. First you kill the fridge, and then devices if it lasts long enough. I can always pedal my way into having light, charging tablets and keeping the router on though.

Thanks for the great sentiment...

I seem to be having a problem getting both Aftertouch and Mod Wheel to work for Vibrato. How does everyone setup AT and MW for Vibrato ? I checked quite a few of the factory patches but didn't find AT or MW assigned. The routing is straight forward, it's the range and getting both to work at the same time that I'm having trouble setting. Guess I'll have to RTFM but sadly I have the attention span of a two year old child when it come to reading the furnished materials. :hihi:

Anyway here are 20 patches that I find fun to play. Fathom has a wonderful character that makes it a joy to play. They are pretty hot volume wise since I like patches that are loud and proud when playing so maybe put a limiter on the master while auditioning them. I also didn't pay attention to CPU usage so some can be a bit demanding. "Bellisimo" in particular can destroy FL Studio on my studio computer while Reaper can handle it quite well. I found that interesting as I think I have the proper settings in FL 's Wrapper. The performance difference between the two DAWs when using Fathom is quite surprising.

I'm very impressed at how good Fathom can sound with just a couple elements in a simple patch.

Also FathomSynth could you please check "Big Annie" and see if you get some low end pops which I think are related to the Frequency Cutoff envelope. Something I'm doing wrong in that patch.

At any rate I hope someone finds these patches fun to play as well. :)

EDIT: Removed due to lack of interest.

First thanks for sharing the patches. Alway fun to see a different perspective.

Creatind a vibrato effect using a mod wheel. By vibrato I am going to assume you mean slight pitch variation.

click on fine pitch of the oscillator you want.
add modulator
select lfo
set modulation type to bipolar
set amount to zero
click on the little dot where you would normally set intensity of the lfo.
once it turns orange, click on add modulator.
select midi controller
select mod wheel, leave type set to multiply
now increase the mod wheel modulator intensity to say 9 oclock.

now when you inrease the mod wheel the lfo on the fine pitch comes into play.
set values to taste.

Yes that's Vibrato. Thanks but I have no problem assigning MW to Vibrato but it's MW and AT at the same time that seems to be problematic. :?

I'll have a go at the manual...... 8)

EDIT: OK let's see if this one works. INIT patch with MW and AT

INIT MW AT 2

I see, I dont have AT so I cant try that but, I would think you could do he same steps as above just substitute AT for MW. You may have to give AT its own lfo. If you want the lfo to be the same use the mod copy function.

Would it be possible for you to upload the presets you shared to Fathom's product page. It would make it easier for folks in the future to find them.

Yes I just added another Mod Source for Channel Pressure (I assume the Aftertouch entry is for Poly AT ?). Before I was trying to "piggy back" two modulators on one LFO slot but that didn't work.

There is also "Note After Touch".....not sure which one is preferable.

Yes I'll upload the patches to KVR's database but they need to be cleaned up, level matched, and tweaked to add MW and AT if not already included in each patch. I want to add more patches as time goes along and I get more comfortable with Fathom. :)

Wow I missed a lot of posts lately. Was coding all day.

I'll review the last page and see if there's anything that needs to be fixed for 2.6.

All the new oscillators are working great for 2.6, they will all go up to 400 partials.
