I’m looking to go deeper into using an iPad Pro in conjunction with my desktop based DAW. I’ve got a lot of great plugins and a handful of nice hardware synths. I also have a ROLI Rise 49 that gets a lot of use. I don’t need anything MPC like, as I have Maschine.

What I’m looking for are instruments that aren’t just good sounding, but make use of things like the touch pad and accelerometer in interesting ways. With that in mind, I like apps like Patterning, Boarderlands, and iDensity.

What other apps offer really fun and unique interfaces for making music?

I find the TC 11 inspiring:

There‘s also a Version that just sends data.

Thanks. That kind of thing is exactly what I'm interested in.

Oh yeah! I totally forgot about good old Brian. When my daughter was an infant I used to sometimes use those to sooth her when she was cranky. I need to get those back in rotation.
