Dee, Thanks for your ideas. I think I like number 5 the best.

I would modify this to:Dee.P.Tree wrote:3. Fathom: Your Own Modular Sound Design Organism. Truly Yours
Fathom: Your Own Modular Sound Design Orgasm.
I would avoid all superlatives and instead point to fun and creativity...

I haven't read all these slogan suggestions, so I apologize if this has already been mentioned.
FATHOM - Explore the Depth
Looking forward to 2.6!

2.6 should be out tomorrow morning.
The oscillator code changes were somewhat extensive so I may need to test for another day.

Version 2.6 is out.
Partials have been increased from 128 to 400 on all oscillators.
This goes from A0 at 44 hertz all the way up to 22K.

A BIG congratulations to you!!!
This is update is HUGE. probably the best so far. I know you have been working at this goal for awhile, so its not new.
We all knew that you would get there and you did. We can now hear the sound of the filters and they sound great.
Fathom has now pronounced its character.
Here is a patch I use to test every synth I try. A simple sweep all the way to cut off so that I can hear the character of the filter.
This test was the only one that I felt Fathom fell short on. Now she makes the grade.
Congrats again.

Loaded very fast.
Whistle is still there, though I have to go one octave lower (A-1) to hear it properly I can isolate that whistle sound with simple highpass near that cut point (4kHz) that can be seen in previous pic I uploaded.
Though, I don't have to use Fathom on bass sounds. The overall sound is great, and what I especially love is that FM section that makes my hands sweat
Otherwise, everything that SM just said

Sorry, I cant resist.
I am very excited for ya brother.
Here is an example of a patch that is simply a pulse into the zero delay filter. The cutoff is modulated by a step sequencer. The resonance is all the way up as is the overdrive. You can hear little percussive sounds as the filter is moved around ( not noise ) but musical percussive sounds. "The character at work".

For me this is what I like to hear in a synth and it is also what separates good from great. Its the edges that matter. Almost every synth plays nice in the middle. Very few play well on the edges.
The new oscillators have a HUGE effect on how the overdrive and distortion work now. Now they add depth and smoothness.
