Clip arming via "Gate" Ableton Live 8

Hi guys,

is there a way to make the "arming" in Live 8 behave like the gated Cliplaunch?
I.e. when I press the key mapped to arming my track (for example over my MIDI Controller) it arms the Track as long as I hold the key. If I release the key, it automatically unarms the track.

I'd love this because when I configure my Arturia Minilab Pads to "toggle" they stay colored - I can see which Pad is active. And because I often use the pads to trigger Cliplaunches and Trackarming in Live those colored Pads would give me a nice visual feedback on which tracks are armed at the moment.
For the Launch of clips it works perfectly because Live has a dedicated "gate-function" for launching, but there seems to be none for arming.

Is there some workaround or something I overlooked?
