This is not a submission. It's just Krell Id Monsters out of boredom...only listen when you can get more than just a bit of noize.

One of my favorite sci fi movies of all time.
:tu: Steven, Your track would definitely be a perfect fit to that kind of sci fi. I hope that more people find the time to "find sounds from outer space".

Me likey the Diodow Green Coffee!

https://soundcloud.com/liqih/diodow-green-coffee

World Avantgarde Film Soundtrack,
soundscape of noises, melodies altered harmonies and world beats. Not easy listening maybe.
This master is mixed for sub-woofer, so it's not very powerful in the low range,
adjust your equalizer to taste.

Tech:
- Eight instances of Diodow VST in Ableton Live
with its own audio effects:
- 2x Live Reverb
- 3x Filter Delay
- 3x Compressor
- 1x Limiter

OMFG.... This is just crazy. :help:

So disturbing, but so interesting... crazy!

I have been completely avoiding listening to everyone's submissions because every time I do, I end up going down some Diodow rabbit hole of a tangent.

But Frostline, that drum beat is groovy AF.......
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

Thanks. :D
Told my percussionist to keep things a little tighter to the general beat than last month.

Amazing piece liqih! The recorder-esque sound against the tabla-ish. Just striking and sublimely joyful.

Thanks mostlyjustj, "disturbing" is among the best feedbacks I got here on OSC...nice :tu: (There's a little update to the track in just the last third - please listen carefully, turn volume down)
It's going to be far more disturbing if I'd be able to spend a little more time with it. This is currently ony a very rough mix with some sound design experiments... I mean... not to tell too many of my secrets, but th LFOs...I mean they range well into audible range...has anybody tried to apply that as modulator on to the filter frequncy or other sound generator stuff? This is a thing I do first with every modular thingy, i.e. set up a standard OSC as modulator for the filter frequency...

Great stuff so far! Hnnngnnnhhgn! I would very much like to enter something, but I haven't opened Diodow since I last posted in this thread, and the deadline is two days away. I've been too busy on other stuff, and sort of woke up to the fact that there's only 28 days in this month

There's a fair bit of experiments in my Diodow folder from the week we got this round rolling, though, so I'm really really trying to salvage something presentable from there in the next couple of days. Fingers crossed, hrhmlnrhhmmm.

I'm making pondering noises(tm)

Do it! I can't remember whether TheNeverScene said that I was a jazzy you or a retro you with my track, but if I was a retro you, I'd love to hear what a now me sounds like!

The what now ...? :D

:singer: :-o

I wouldn't get my hopes that up for my hypothetical track this month, haha. We'll see (hear?) ...

Post

No worries! You can be the hypothetical me. I don't know what that sounds like, either :-D

Okay, I'll stop with the nonsense now. :-) It's late in Europe, I need to get some sleep!

Deal!

Indeed, it just hit 4 AM here. Huh. Going to sleep right now.

Post

Did I say that? lol

Yeah, jazzy Guenon and retro Taron. It probably only makes sense in my head, though :D

Take a listen to his "one instance" entry in OSC 106...parameter automation at a whole new level with video.

Here's my submission. Been a tough one, so it's kind of on the mellower side and short. Just happy to actually finish one....I think this was "brainstorm" #8.

18 instances of Diodow.
From init, no sample content
From init, again....oh wait, why does my init sound like that now....ooops! haha, you know where I'm coming from :)
