Send midi to return/audio track Ableton?

Is there a way i can send CC data to audio or return track in ableton, i do not see any option for midi inputs on ether.

You have to put a plugin onto the audio or return track...
Then you can send midi to this plugin ...

You can send MIDI CC the normal way (MIDI From/To in tracks), but Live doesn't let MIDI CC between internal tracks be assigned to params with Live's "MIDI Map Mode". If a plugin has its own MIDI assign system that will work.

They probably judged it would be way too easy to break your previously carefully assigned MIDI CC with a single "ctrl+M" press while the project is playing.

One way around that is sending the MIDI CC out then back through virtual MIDI cables like LoopMIDI or IAC (gotta be careful with feedback loop).

[edit: an audio track will need to have some plugin/device that receives MIDI, Live doesn't send MIDI to an audio track that doesn't have anything that receives MIDI.]
