I have many midi loops that I want to export. They are 12 bars long. I have them chopped up in 1 bar segments. I only want to export one segement at a time. So I want twelve 1 bar midi loops when I'm done.

problem is I can't figure out how to tell that to SX2 :x

Every time I try to export just one segement it just exports the whole 12 bars.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks,

dw

...i'm afraid there is no way except:
- deleting bar 2...12 and export first bar
- delete first and Bar 3..12 and export second bar

and so on...

We did the same for latest MIDI loops for RM IV 4.1 a nightmare and ate a whole day for the 120 loops we did in SX2

yeah, exporting midi from SX really sucks. :-(

regarding the above comments ... Sure does suck lets hope for SX3 to be a little better in this , I mean even in FLS you just turn off the other tracks ,

I just got a phonecall from overseas that woke me up ,
they never bother to check the time diffrence before they call :x ,
so I thought I'd come on here for a bit ,

Good luck with the assignment ,

I thought you were going to say that you were in brisbane somewhere in america or something ...phew !

Oh BTW which(who) broadband did you go with ? I,m thinking of changing soon

dodo. they looked dodgy and i had some reservations before signing up, but its been ok. but it's my first adsl connection so i have nothing to compare it to either. There minimum contract period is only one month so thats a bonus.

adsl is sooo much better then dial up!

Sorry to cut in here but surely how you export MIDI chunks from one track is....

1.Solo the track
2.Click one the first part you want to export
3.Press P (puts locators around selection)
4.export MIDI

then repeat from the second step? that's what i do anyway!!

Viking Studio's,

I just tried your suggestion and it doesn't work for me.

I'm getting along pretty good now anyway.

thanks,
