UPDATE: this offer apparently only works if you JUST own Essentials/Adapted/Limited.

Saw this over at a FB group dedicated to RE's, but basically - if you own Reason Essentials (or Adapted/whatever) you can upgrade to full Reason for just $99 USD right now.

That said, you can buy Reason Essentials for just $73 USD on Amazon, and still get the upgrade for $99... making your total cost just $172.

If I didn't already own it, I'd jump on this if I was considering it in the past.

Whelp...if true, then that has probably sucked me in as a buyer. I already have a registered copy of Reason Adapted.

EDIT: Logged in, and yes, the $99 deal is there. Wow.

Do you already own Essentials? If not, there's a few copies still on Amazon, which still makes it an incredible deal. If you're in the US, you can get it at Sweetwater for even less (like $69 USD shipped):

Anyone know when the offer ends, I cannot see a date? I may well be selling Reason 9.5 for a good price soon.

No clue. This was just recently discovered over at the Rack Extenionists group, but there's no telling how long it's been up.

I have Adapted from years ago, and 9.5 full. I have asked the Props to confirm it is not linked to my full licence because I am sure I didn't use it as an upgrade path.

If you own a Korg controller, Reason Limited is part of their software bundle. Shows €99 here for mine, but not sure I'd have any use for Reason.

Yeah, I think I had an old copy of Adapted from back when they were distributed by M-Audio in the early 2000's. I think it came with an M-Audio external audio card I had at the time. Not sure, though.

That is how I got mine. Still using the 2496.

Nice offer.

I just went to the Reasontalk forums, to see what they think about this. Coincidentally went to a thread where someone ranted about how Reason opened to VST's, and how the respective forum was full of posts about issues people have with VST's in Reason, "just like in any other random VST host". Not sure what issues the guy means. I never had a lot of issues with VST's. Oh well. Guess there can't be praise towards the just you're using without being in others.

Oh wow! This is a great deal! I'm one day late anyway, as I bought it yesterday for $220 2nd hand, but no regret at all! I still believe at $220 is a bargain, talk about $172 now

This is crazy - it's cheaper than the upgrade from the full 9.5

I actually have another copy of Reason Limited version 1 and I can crossgrade from that and then sell my spare Reason license (so anyone want it?)

There's been a handful of very vocal people who've had issues with some VST's that don't play nice with v10 right now, but it's hardly representative of most people's experience. Myself, I've had a couple from Soundtoys literally bring Reason down, as well as a few from Air. But that's about it. They're known issues that'll be fixed, I'm sure.

Had Reason Limited Version 1 from a long long time ago. Too good to pass up. Was cheaper than upgrading from 9.5 (missed the previous offer).

Let us know if it works! I read over at the Rack Extensionists group that someone had a problem buying the upgrade because they already own a full version of Reason.. apparently the offer is just for people who have only Essentials.

This is what they got when they tried to buy the upgrade with Essentials/Adapted/Limited on their account as well as the (yet unknown) full version of Reason:
