This is a seemingly extremely well done mono synth.

If anybody wants to play chords you can use Tale's midi router for ReaJS.

https://www.taletn.com/reaper/mono_synth/

Just route the midi from the midi router's track through one midi channel to each instance of any mono synth. :tu:

Hm, looks like the clicks are partially caused by super tight envelopes (the usual) BUT ALSO by literally doing ANYTHING with the gui/daw while a sound is playing. If I just leave it on an arp running 32nd notes, I get no clicks, or at least I'm having a hard time reproducing them. Testing with an alias free waveform running a shorter but not instant attack, and an lfo on a filter cutoff.

Very cool. If it's this stable, this will be an insane osc with tons of high quality submissions. I reserve judgement till after I try making drum patches though.

Good news, as I was following this one curiously already, just need to know how to set it back to mono if I have the full version?

The polyphony knob on the main panel (below the equalizer) and set it to 1.
However I don't know for certain it would be allowed.
May have to specifically use the free mono version.
Maybe we can get a ruling on that with the wavetable/preset question?

Big style Update:

A special Pro version is available for all OSC participants. PM me for a unique download link.

Seaweed Audio is donating in a huge way. The unique link says it best, but for the condensed version, see the prize section in the OP.

You can also make chords using the detune. For example use 3 voices and set values to three different semitones.

Concerning clicks.....

It has been my experience that it has to do with envelopes. It seems to happen when a note ends before it reaches its sustain point and then imediatley jumps to release. So...if you know the patch is going to be a 32nd note, set up your envelope accordingly. I have been able to eliminate nearly all clicking in this way.

Wow! This is Awesome support from the Developers

Actually downloaded this synth middle of last year and was quite enthusiastic about its potential. Unfortunately since then have had little opportunity to do anything musical. Looked again this morning and updated to latest. Have you seen the current offer for the full version - they are almost giving it away!

Probably going to be a lot of entries this month!

So my question is - can those who have bought it use the full version, or is it only to be the special one or the free mono?.

Post

Can you clarify the relationship of the special version to the usual pro version? Does that mean we can use a polyphonic version of the synth? Should we all just use the special version?

Post

Not got a link yet ... but someone may know the answer...

Will we get 32 and 64 bit versions? Not sure which I will need yet.

Hoping "special" means a time limited licence, not a slimmed down version etc... ? If so, can we make sure this ends say 31st March +1 day to cope with the time differences around the globe? [We've been here before]

Is it possible to make mono-envelopes with Fathom, i.e. envelopes that will continue when I bend another note to the one being played, rather than restart on every note-on signal?
As long as we have the mono version to play I care for this :D

Not sure about envs. Just bought the Poly Pro as it's only $15 at the moment (you see this when you hit "Purchase"!). :tu:

You can aways ask questions at

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=482501&start=1605

The developer and/or users answer quite quicky.

Hopefully the dev will drop in here now and then too.

Probably not going this route, but yummy sounds like 20 minutes of playing.

Okay...pro version and stone age - I mean in terms of release speed of fathom - and back in the Mesozoic days when fathom only featured 64 partials or at least very few compared to now...I mean two weeks ago. Just kidding...a bit

That is awesome. I won't be able to complain about sound design options in this synth, that's for sure.
