I think the way we categorized it makes it appear like a smaller selection of sounds.
Many different preparations were used, as well as different brand guitar and such.
For instance, for some of the sounds I borrowed my little brother's telecaster, and for others I just used my cheap Epiphone SG. So when it says Electric/Acoustic Guitar, it was actually an SG, Telecaster, Fender Acoustic, Washburn 12 String, and an Ibanez SDGR Bass. So on top of that, different techniques were used to achieve the various sounds.
But yes, in general, all of the sounds are "string" related in some way (even the piano).

However, we are working on expansions at this very moment :)

Seems a little change/addon to the devellopment so far with new libraries appearing in short time. So I would be interested if these addon of expansions is valid for Headphase and Recirculate or have you just "reached your goal" with Seurat and now concentrate on expansions for this one ?

I cannot speak for Glyn or Lindon, and I had nothing to do with Recirculate, so I definitely cannot speak on that one.
I personally feel the most passionate about the way Seurat works and its potential --although I really did love working on Headphase.

Thanks for explanation, did not know that, same "company", so I just thought....

OK well.. Headphase and Recirculate both use our DOSA engine (a "sort of" wavetable approach) and Seurat uses our AGRA engine (a "sort-of" granular approach).

There will definitely be enhancements to Seurat - in terms of additional snapshots, as people here have noted its a pretty endless set of possibilities already.

We are unlikely to add extra (free) audio to any of our product set - it breaks all the existing snapshots for a start. But we are planning a number of DOSA-based and AGRA based products over the next few months, all of them are quite different from the 3 products(4 if you count Chordscape) already out there.

Frankly we've been surprised just how flexible these engines have turned out to be, We've thrown some fairly radical "noises" at them and they keep on offering up musical and exciting results.

Thanks again for explanation, looking forward to this :tu:

And I think its a good decision, this way each of the products has (and hope the upcoming ones will too) a very, very unique sound. And if you take in account that so far the full products cost less then for what other companies sell their "expansions" (not to compare but just as an example: acutal tone2 expansion sells for 49 euro)....

A very reasonable assumption to make :)

So whilst there is not likely to be any additional "expansion" audio, there will as I said be additional snapshots - and (as I'm working on this now) there will be additional functionality in V1.1 - which is (as is our policy) free to 1.0 owners...

Just a reminder --the intro price on Seurat will be ending tomorrow.
Here's a video showing all of the new snapshots included in the update soon to come (will be free to existing owners of Seurat 1.0).
