I came across a GoFundMe for bassist/producer Bill Laswell, who has been facing health problems in recent years and is in danger of losing Orange Music studio in New Jersey.

I can't say I like everything Bill has done, but the stuff I do love has changed my basic energetic makeup as a sentient being, and my perception of what music can do. Bill Laswell is a prime example of someone who has ideas, and then goes forth and makes them happen in the world (rather than arguing about stuff online all day

) .
