Reaper has an arbitrary default project length setting of 10 minutes. I have always had that turned off but the latest version has it permanently turned on and re - turns it on whenever a new project is started. This is despite turning that setting off and saving as default project setting. I can set it to off and save it to that specific project and that is fine, but it would be nice if I could get rid of the default setting

Anyone else having this problem?

Which version are you using? I have the latest released version 5.76 and that option is off by default, and I've never touched it, didn't even know it existed.

Save an empty project somewhere with your preferred setting, then use that as project template (Properties->Project).

Thanks Steve and ED. Latest version and no idea why it has reverted to this default now. I will take your advice ED and set up my own template
