Hi there,
I am looking to quickly chop, edit, and map out samples of tracks across a keyboard. I know this can be achieved in almost every daw and sampler at this point, but i find the process with Kontakt or Geist for instance to be a bit sloppy compared to some simple audio editors i have found.
I have recently downloaded some simple audio editors for Mac (Twisted Wave, Audition CC, and a few others). I really love how I can easy drop in a full track track, go full screen and zoom fully in and out, and slice points wherever and then easily manipulate these slices in these programs. However, these creative process would be much more enjoyable if I could map the playback to keys and adjust the samples and mappings as I go.
So if anyhone can point me in a direction of something that has these below features I would really appreacite it!
1. Quick, Simple workflow for chopping tiny samples out of full songs (ie not just a ten second loop)
2. Ability too manipulate these samples individually - timestrecth, repitch, reverse etc.
3. MIDI playback of the samples. I dont need any of the advaned features like RR or crazy KS or mapping options..just a way to quickly map samples while editing is all.
Thanks for any help you can provide on this!

An idiot on Set Theory:
