Perhaps somebody here can help out.
1.When copying parts ,snap in project window works as expected...the copy snaps to whatever value is set in quantize...But it does not seem to work on shared copy.
When doing a shared copy the copy is deposited wherever the cursor is placed...ie. it does not snap and one has to drag the copy to activate snap.
This happens both with audio and midi.
Can anyone reproduce this?
2.Hi all
I can't seem to get snap function in drum editor working when copying notes from one instrument to another.
For example copying a tambourine to a cabasa etc
Snap is on set to grid and quantize is on and in fact it does work when dragging notes.
The problem seems to be occurring only on copying.
The copied notes end up wherever i release mouse....with no correlation to grid quantize values.
If anybody has come across this and found a solution/workaround I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance
I have the exact same problems.
Any elucidation would be most welcome.
Thanx in advance

In the case of #1, assuming you are on Cubase 9.5 ... you may have Adaptive Zoom turned on. Other than that I behaves the same for me regardless of shared vs real. If I use the ALT modifier to drag around the part, it snaps to whatever I have set in the combination of the Q and Grid snap settings (ie grid, grid relative etc..).
For #2, it's not clear what you are doing? What is the copy process? Are the quantize values the same between the lines you are copying between? For example you could have the snare at 32s and cabassa at 16.

If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Hi
Thanks for your input.
I'm on Cubase 9.5.2 on win 8.1.
re 1: Will check about adaptive zoom as soon as I return to studio.
re 2: My grid and individual drum are set to the same Q and snap value.
The following is happening:
Say I have a simple 16 note closed hihat pattern one bar long in4/4 time signature.
I select all 16 notes and right click with modifier to copy pattern to another instrument...the copied pattern does not snap to grid...it is copied to whatever position the mouse is hovering..To get the pattern to snap I have to reselect the copy and drag it, it then snaps correctly.
Thanks again for your contribution, much appreciated.
