I Created Reasons Node System In 2011 - :D

But wait.... you're thinking to yourself... Reason doesn't have a node system yet... and that's right.. but it could it be that some other daw developer out there was possibly watching the propellerhead forum way back then when I posted this image, who knows... but it was a deja voo flashback for me when Presonus revealed their node system in Studio One 3 in 2015. :hihi:

What other desktop daws incorporated a node system back then...? Audio Tool was something I didn't know about till after I did this design, but I had used Buzz Machines back in 2000 and another similar node synth design program around that time. Reaktor isn't a really a daw, more of a modular development program sort of thing with a nodal environment...

And oh, for reference Anitidote was incorporated a year later into the node design that was republished.

Will Propellerhead go the node route with Reason in the future...who knows... but it would make things easier to manage with the rack.

I'd sell you it for half the current asking price if I could...

Quite a few DAWs had these kinds of features before 2011.

Hmm. I'll add at least Psycle to the list of such software. Oh, and also Usine.

Just as you were inspired by node based implementations in existing software, it is far more likely that people at Presonus were inspired by the multitude of existing node based flow representations, used in the audio (and also visual, programming, etc.) industry, in actual released software products. Instead of seeing this picture you made and then going "oh, you know, let's do something like that."

I repeat:

Could it be that some other DAW developer was watching other actual software solutions, directly, instead of random user posts on a forum unrelated to their own product? :P

I find it quite odd to dredge up a half baked idea from another forum from 2011 and post it here in 2018.

THE INTRANCER is the Steve Jobbs of DAW's for me. A genius, and a true visionary. Even though i felt it was even more ingenious, when i completely designed Logic X in 1983... nobody ever gave me the credit though. Or cut me in. :( Unfortunately, i also lost all drawings, and design prototypes, so you'll have to take my word for it. I am a very trustworthy user though, registered on this site for over 7 years now.

This is nothing. I invented modular synthesis in 1911.

Do it - it's awesomely versatile considering it's deceptively simple GUI :)

I'll buy it next discount, because I already spent a lot this month. I also can use Dune 2 VST, although I'm not sure they are the same exactly!
Anyway, I like Antidote's interface. It is clear with the modulation matrix in the front (Really nice design, Dune 2 should have similar design!). Unfortunately I already demoed it few years ago, so I can't check it now :(
