oh, i wasn't logged in. i can see that the price is much better right now. thanks!fmr wrote:There are some sweet deals for owners of previous Arturia products.Burillo wrote:199 EUR. ummm... okay. i mean, i'm sure they're awesome, but this is way out of my comfort zone, so i'll pass.
Arturia is extremely generous. I only own Analog Lab, which i got at a huge discount as it is because i got Analog Lab Lite for free as a Presonus audio interface user. i guess i'll have to demo them...
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Nice, I might go for the SEM Filter, it's only 29€ for me as a Minifilter Owner. The Demo's aren't online yet, but you can grab the installers from the Downloads & Manuals Section.

That‘s a pretty good thing with a reasonable price.soundmodel wrote:Even though it models a different Neve, the DDMF 6144 is an excellent "boutique-style" EQ.
Costs only €34 as well.

AFAIK it‘s seldom second hand on offer.
But currently there‘s one...

I don't know how it compares, but did anyone already mention Kush's Omega N? It's currently on sale and Vpre-73 will be from the 25th.

However, like the Black Rooster, this is just a preamp/saturation plug-in. The OP specifically asked for "the best preamp/eq VST".christian f. wrote:Kush Audio Omega N !

Without the EQ, how can you say it's a Neve 1073?Dullee wrote:lacks eq section, but is 1073 pre emu and not a bad one. deserves a mention.Black Rooster VPRE-73
is this the "Best Neve preamp/eq vst", in your opinion?
AFAIK, the Preamp circuit is basically the same one since at least the 1063. Anyway, the OP specifically asked for "the best preamp/eq VST".

well, it is 1073 Neve preamp section emulation, isn't it? from the developer:
OP mentioned "Neve type preamp vst plugin" in his first post, not necessarily asking for a full-on emulation of 1073 only. perhaps, he was just looking for options and what's available.emulation of the discrete preamp circuitry and audio transformers but also retained the famous high shelf filter band. The VPRE-73 is designed to provide a user with the typical Brit-sound low- and high-end, as well as a well-measured amount of THD required to recreate a unique and classic vibe.
I think we can live just fine without your supervision of what we can say and what we can't. there are other companies and products other than Arturia. live and let live.how can you say

This is what he wrote (ipsis verbis):Dullee wrote:well, it is 1073 Neve preamp section emulation, isn't it? from the developer:

You should read the entire post before arguing.dickiefunk wrote: I'm looking to add a Neve type preamp vst plugin and am wondering which offers the closest emulation of the 1073 preamp/eq?
Sure there are. And I'm glad there are. But when you mention alternatives, you should mention "real alternatives". If someone asks for a piano, not anything with keys qualify.Dullee wrote:I think we can live just fine without your supervision of what we can say and what we can't. there are other companies and products other than Arturia. live and let live.how can you say

I would love to say "sonimus - burnley73" but i can't..
I found a tiny anomality/bug with the GUI.. At first they said, they cannot reproduce it, but people here found the same.
Then they did send me a test version where it's fixed and said they are very concerned about their brand-name and the fixed vst will be out ..soon.
...The version in my Sonimus-download area is still the old version.

I still feel a bit guilty/dumb because i thought they would bring it out soon.. but no.
And i don't get it... i am 100% sure they could reproduce it right away and always lied... but hey no prob, because i deinstalled all.
+ in Cubase8 the VST3 (Britson) didn't "wake up" after it went to sleep. (the meters or whole sound was off..dunno can't remember exactly...*cough)
