SX 3 Generic Remote Bug

Anyone who is considering buying or upgrading SX3 should probably be interested in reading this thread on the steiny forums http://forum.cubase.net/forum/Forum2/HTML/069860.html
In which it is stated that 'you dont have the VSTis as destinations in the generic remote' - similar to the problem with sx1 which rendered most users generic remote devices non-functional. If this is indeed correct (i believe it is - auxbuss has posted in this thread & i value his opinion highly) this is yet another retrograde step in an ostensible sx upgrade. As yet there has been silence from the official steinberg talking heads, which is probably understandable as a bug such as this could likely be a deal breaker for many users/potential users. So it looks like if one upgrades generic remotes will once again be defunct. i believe all users of sx should make a concerted effort to seek clarification on this issue from steinberg before parting with their hard earned money.

There will be bugs.
A bug like that gives the impression of a rushed beta testing stage.
I don't think I'll cancel my order, I'm hoping there will be a speedy update.

Bugs?
Well, there are bugs and there is the unacceptable....
Now, I can't say for myself what the bottom line is here, but if SX3 still does not fix this, you have to ask: that the hell are they doing?
Thank God I did not get V-Stack (which I considered getting at one time, as well)
I was considering getting both a Behringer controller and the upgrade. Looks like I won't be getting the upgrade anytiome soon - besides, what's the hurry?

Ok, I'm all new to this generic remote thing. I'm still on SX 1.06, but now I'm finding this Behringer BCR-2000 very tempting to use with Cubase and Reaktor + a few other VSTi's.
Which versions of Cubase is that possible in? Only 2.2 or what?

That's the problem - there does not seem to be a clear answer....
I'll take an 48 channel API board instead...

as i have posted in the steiny forums:
I wonder if there is any chance of a mod etc. confirming this bug in this forum also? - why only in the german forum as yet?
Anyway's i may be wrong - but such a major bug/ommission does seem to lend credence to what a lot of users in the nuendo forums have been theorising, i.e. SX3 released too early for marketing reasons (live 4, sonar etc. - keeping up with the joneses) - werent there a few threads that mentioned SX3 users doing the bug testing for nuendo3 or somesuch also? - how can steinberg possibly claim to have thorougly tested SX3 when there is such a glaring, blindingly obvious bug in it - a problem that has plagued sx almost since it's inception & given so many users such grief?
personally i think it's suspicious that this bug has only been confirmed in the german speaking forums - probably after pressure as well - and not in the english speaking forums - where a lot of users who will probably order an upgrade reside - or am i just being cynical & conspiratorial (been watching a lot of alex jones lately). as far as sx bug testing 4 nuendo - i have seen that posited in the nuendo forums - by someone fairly moddish/official as far as i remember.
My take on this is that steiny released this software before bug testing it properly - and it's also pretty much accepted by now on the steiny forums that there are some 'bugs' - or strange features virtually hardwired into the core code of Sx.
basically i'm fewkin pissed off and fed up with this shite - i never upgraded vst to sx due to the probs & bugs - nearly got sx 2.2 - as it was widely reported as being stable (but 4 a few bugs i was waiting to get ironed out), but then i thought i'd wait as sx3 appearred - lo & behold the grc bug again - and i reckon this is only the first.
to any1 who says ' well u aint bought it so why u complaining?' - i want to buy it - i really do, i collaborate with people who use it & it would make our livees easier, but a couple of them are now ready to move to mac & logic or sonar - and this will prolly be the straw to break there backs, if u catch my drift.
sorry 4 the rant - but i just think of time wasted with sx1 trying to automate shit and it just pisses me off that in a paid 'upgrade' the same shit has been re-broken.

Now that they have the new Cubase Info Base, all bug confirmations will be listed there (which hopefully makes them one step closer to being fixed.)

well all your help will be greatly appreciated by nuendo users who will get cleaner product. at a bit higher price, but that's due not being a paying betatester (well of course this is a bad joke and miles far from thruth).

yeah well there's bugger all in the info base - but then cynical likkle old me didn't think there would be - reckon they want to shift units before officially & widely recognising this bug. get the dollars flowing first like any good con artist would.
