Hmmm
the toonertik digs deep into the old memory banks...
yup... I remember....
The times when demo studios were every where..
the time when we had inspiration flowing fast and furious through our veins...
When you met a fellow muso in a pub or at a gig.. or from a MelodyMaker or NewMusicalExpress adds.. and just went for it..
Now, just a click on the computer... but where is the banter.. the feedback.. the musical differences and arguments...
What the heck..
I'll just do it MY way>> now...

Is there a VST that recreates the classic Vocaloid sound?
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Here's how it works.

You sing into a mic. The audio then goes through the VST and converts YOUR voice into any singer's voice you want it to sound like and perfectly on key. So, you could sound like Sinatra, Bon Jovi, Meatloaf, Cher, anybody you can think of.
If I had it,I would pay millions of dollars to ensure a plug-in like that is never invented

Add a bunch of interesting stories, well portrayed emotions,
or popular political/religious thoughts, with some solid
journeyman instrument skills, and you might
become the next Neil Young, or Bob Dylan. I think people
tolerate imperfect vocals, far more than flawed or boring music.
At least those in the mirror I look at

For those saying get a singer.

1. I have no money to hire singers.

2. I don't know anybody personally who sings well.

3. I don't live near any music stores.

4. The people in my church who can marginally sing have no desire to come over to my place and sing my stupid songs. They all have their own lives and their own problems.

I'm not a kid anymore. I'm 60 years old. My daughter and future son in law, who plays in a ska band, have their own lives and can't help me. They barely have enough time to do the things they need to do for themselves. Plus, they don't live anywhere near me.

I have no options. Period. That is why I got Vocaloid, to have my songs heard. It's a means to an ends. Nothing more, nothing less. Years ago, when I at least had a passable voice, I did sing my own songs and THEN I was told "Please don't sing." Of course I had no choice as there were no other options for me then. I had no friends and no money to hire singers. There were no clubs in my area. There was no Internet to even go to. I did everything myself. Those were my options. We're not all blessed with friends or knowing people or having the money to hire people. Some of us have no other choice but to sit in our living rooms and write, sing, record and produce our own music. It's what I've done for over 40 years and it's what I'll continue to do for as long as I'm capable of doing it.

So yeah, for me, a piece of software like this would be a dream come true.

Sadly, I know it's not happening in my lifetime.

Not if you sit on your ass in some small town, wallowing
in self pity. Get off your ass, and move to or near a city
with a vibrant music scene, that suits your preffered genres,
be it Southbeach, Austin, Seattle, Nashville...yada yada yada

that life-sucking whoosh you hear sometimes
is the daisy-roots calling! :hihi:

Jesus.

1: You have money for every software ever made.

2: Money solves this issue.

3: NOBODY lives near record stores any more.

4: I thought singing hymns was a way to expel your issues and connect with something bigger then yourself.

Your issue is the same as mine.

Nobody is wallowing in self pity. I've probably written more music in 40 years than anybody else on this forum. I'm happy with my life. It's trying to please others who are critical of every little thing that drives me crazy. If I had this software, problem solved without having to, as you say, get off my ass.

I don't care. Let him act like a 5 year old. Doesn't register with my anymore. Another reason that I do music myself. People are assholes.
