I went to this topic and downloaded a few zip files like a good puppy and after dumping files randomly trying to get it to work, mutools stops working. of course it does i'm an idiot! in twenty years i haven't downloaded a zip file until now.....

Of course i deleted the unzipped version and ran anti virus which popped up a couple of warnings, deleted any related folders i had created and the stray files musynth and projects, restarted pc,scanned it again.

after reinstalling mutools i can't find my temporary key cause i didn't save it anywhere, cos im an idiot....... help please?

This looks very likely as a "false positive".Your anti virus wrongly classified the content of this Zip as a Virus.This happens quite regularly.
I downloaded the "WoBazz" from your (MuTools) link, unpacked it and had it both (the Zip and the content separately) analyzed with Virustotal,a powerful online Virus scanner.

Seems to be a clean Zip.

Regarding your activation issue.Best is to post directly in the MuTools forum,they are very helpful.

OK thanks. Odd that it made it crash. Maybe it was the random file dumping.

got a virus from downloading a zip! I never do that .......
