Hello folks,
can anybody tell me how I can have the Novation Launch Control XL connected to my iPad 2 via Camera Connection Kit and power-charge the iPad at the same time? Would a powered USB hub solve this problem? Or is there an easier way? Has someone of you the same setup/problem solved, and if so, how?
Regards,
Schneefels

Does it have a Lightning or 30-pin port?
AFAIK You can’t charge from the USB port so I don’t think it’s possible with a 30-pin port.
The latest Lightning CCK has Lightning and USB ports to allow charging. I use it with a Mackie Spike (Audio/MIDI interface) and iPad Air (v1).

I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.

Add an Alesis IO Dock, connect both to a computer.Schneefels wrote:Hello folks,

It has a 30-pin dock. Actually I appreciated the fact that this duo works "standalone", without a computer.

The hint was nice, too, that´s the way I did it now. I haven´t got an Alesis IO Dock, but I do have a Behringer iS202. The computer is now in between with Reaper as DAW passing through the MIDI CC from Launch Control XL to the iPad 2 in the Behringer iS202. Works fine, alltough I would have preferred a solution without computer.T-CM11 wrote: Add an Alesis IO Dock, connect both to a computer.

Not cheap, but:
iConnectMIDI2+, iConnectMIDI4+ or iConnectAUDIO4+
With this cable should do it:
https://www.iconnectivity.com/products/ ... 0pin-cable
Also not cheap:

Have a look at this website:
http://auriaapp.com/Support/auria-audio-interfaces
Anything that mentions "MFi", has a 30 pin cable available, Yes in the "Charges iPad?" column and a USB port (host).
