I want to export my track from Cubase so I can "master" it in a new project. I exported an earlier version last week ok but this time it isn't happening!
The box comes up to say exporting audio but nothing actually happens - Cubase locks up and a pc restart is required to kill everything. An empty wav is created on my desktop but that's it.
The project is pretty meaty but not much different to last week's exportable version so what the heck is going on?
My first thought is to render some VST tracks to lighten the load but the project can run so why not export?
Any sensible thoughts appreciated.

I've had my tea and have now trying real time export.....which has just stopped with a cpu overload warning!
It looks like some bouncy bouncing is going to have to take place

Just to put this to bed, I ended up exporting the track in two halves (of the mix) and putting them together in a new project.
Today I tried freezing the synths rather than rendering and that worked ok.
Life goes on.
