After another look, it seems pretty simple. It has basically all the controls the orion sampler has, except in the orion one, the sample slice and mapping tools are hidden away in the tiniest corner of the screen 99 percent of the time. I will give this one a shot and the one from the dev who made surge. I think I tried and liked it a while ago.

did it lack something?-slices? sf.2 is more versatile than .wav isn't it?
Hope helps!
I wonder what I want in here

Hi matey!
Hope you're disco- good to see ya round.
I can't tell u sorry, I don't use it yet- I may.
It does load .rex files judging by the screenshot though-
so I imagine Recycle could be needed too.

No, Zampler just loads banks/sfz/rex with 3 LFOs, 3 envelopes, mod matrix.

If you want a simple but good auto-slicer get Vice.

TX16Wx can do a LOT so the GUI is quite 'flat' and can be confusing, but you can change the GUI. It's very deep and worth spending the time getting to know your way around it. The sample editor can go very large, and the drop-down menu gives a lot of options.

Another terrific choice is Wusik v9 which has more of a synth design, and was just released. I like Wusik v8 a lot. Wusik v9 adds more drum features, and is perhaps the best bang-for-buck, particularly with the included sample libraries.

Finally, MuLab is very focused on samples (e.g. with one click it auto-slices and auto-maps keys when you drag-n-drop wavs; full-screen sample editor, etc), but it's a DAW.

I'm looking for soething free....

There is an FL program -- slicer or something like that.... but there are no parameters. I can't control the cecay... basic things like that. everything sounds too sharp and not natural.

any free ones similar?
You can cobtrol atrack and decay but its effects all the slices.

Or you could import as beat to slice

Other than those mentioned, this is a free and superb ensemble / sampler instrument you can download, the only caveat is that it requires Reaktor 6.

The link to it is here.. https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... show/7775/

no, it really can't

you can slice things, but you can't make it so it decays really naturally (like over a second or two).

It's ok for slicing things that have a clear beginning or end,
but it's really not okay for things that are more natural that are sort of mixed together

Does Synapse make a version of this sampler in VST form?

If so, why the f**k not?

It's okay they abandoned ORION, but at least let the sampler live on... man, that was a great sampler.

I'm so confused. I downloaded Grace and it just left me confused as hell.
