They should implement external sidechain in cubase since the vst3 plugins in cubase allow this option in a simple way just by clicking on the sidechain icon if it was implemented, since its plugins work with dynamics and equalization would be a step forward to have this option This is still missing for McDSP.

the worst installer on windows ever (you cant select the destination folder) and no vst2 presets, the support is crap they take ages to answer and if something doesn't work is your fault (even if you have installed 500 vst before without any fuss!).No effort from them to make the presets compatible for vst on windows, I contacted their support about that more than one year ago! hey they are Macdsp!!!
Better to look somwere else if you are on windows, their plugs get great reputation from apple protools users 15years ago, at that time their plugs where the first convincing "analog sounding plugins" and quiet amazing, on that period I used them a lot on my recording studio, however now you have tons of alternatives and even better "analog emulations" on the market.
If you are on apple the plug's are working well and can be interesting, If you are on PC stay away from them till they consider more their customers and do the right job with the installer and presets.

I do have the presets for futzbox, I still have to save out about 1/4 of them to (.fxp), currently they are (.fxb) which won’t work in a few hosts. Once I’ve had a chance to do that, I’ll post them in this thread.

I just use fxtractor, which works well with McDSP stuff for some reason although it only writes out the bank format. Other than that, I read you can possibly use bidule to convert from (.vstpreset) to fxp. I don’t have bidule myself, so I can’t say if it works. Lotta times I just do it manually, eg load both types of VST and reproduce the presets to fxp.

Loading the presets is dependent on the DAW, most will use windows explorer (windows load file dialog) things like Bitwig and FLStudio will make a nice list for you to browse. Live will use windows explorer as well.

I think Live 9 (Win) works both with the .fxp and .fxb.
If you can put a download link for the Fuzzbox preset, that would be great.

I should be able to put them up tonight. You can just download fxtractor if you’re in a hurry, I can confirm the resultant files work with live. And you can convert them all at once with it. For now, I got to go to work. Just google fxtractor if you like.

Not any rush with that. :phones:

Do they no require an ilok dongle anymore? (last I heard (read) they did.

Yeah iLok...

Ok, here are the presets for FutzBox in (.fxp) format. I didn't check them all,
pretty sure they are all good though. Let me know of any problems...

Enjoy...
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

These seem to work great. This was super kind of you! :tu:

No worries, I've been meaning to make them anyway, as a couple DAW's I use,
cannot use the banks, Waveform and Reaper surprisingly.

Works fine in the Live, thank you once again.
BTW, I found the following discussion in the Kvr 5-6 years back, it seems that someone has (at least tried) to programm the converter.

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 7&t=352512

I cheked the Fxtractor, you referred, and found this site.
Never tried if I manage to do the conversion via this - very often there will be some problems, if you try something new, which you do not know.

Fxtractor doesn't work all that well anyway, which I suspect is the reason they don't
work in Reaper, which supports (.fxb)

It seems to do the job though, at least for McDSP plugins. Not bad, for a nearly
10 year old, half finished program.

it's nice to see McDSP is still superbly supporting their Windows version. /s
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Thank you. :tu:
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
