It does plus 4 voice and MPE and FX and moreDasheesh wrote:I was just coming here to post about this. MOOG knows what's up. Guaranteed this will sound good.
Does it sound better than other Minimoog emulations.....not sure yet. They all sound good.
But this is 5 bucks. Just the GUI is close to unusable on my 5.5" iPhone.
It might be much better on iPad of course.
If they just would create VST/AU and not iOS only apps.
(But then.....i have P900 which eats this for breakfast).

Delay is weird, sounds and behaves more like a spring reverb

I like the delay(s) in the Moog apps.aMUSEd wrote:Delay is weird, sounds and behaves more like a spring reverb
The bender is nice too.
Otherwise it‘s just 5 dollar and it DOES sound good!

I own Monark but prefer The Legend.chk071 wrote:Does it beat Monark?
They are all good.
But still P900 is the better Minimoog (beside the shark tooth waveform) for me.
This app can compete as well i think.
They all have pro and contra and i don‘t think any of these sounds bad.
Which is the closest? I don‘t know and don‘t care.
If it sounds good, it good!
It has MPE as well.

Maybe....maybe they just scared that VST/AU would be cut more into their hardware sales then.chk071 wrote:True.Cinebient wrote: If it sounds good, it good!
It surprises me that Moog does so much app work. Obviously, it's a really worthwhile market.
I mean these apps sound great. Model 15, Model D now, ArpOdyssei, Zeeon etc.
But they mostly make the money trough IAP (presets f.e.) and they still lack a lot of things i can do within my big DAW with plug-ins (even the AUv3 apps).
But i would still like an U-he iOS app.
There are now enough synths for iOS but i´m waiting for some better FX and sample libraries.
But it can be "scary" sometimes that a 5 dollar app can sound good as a 20-30 times more expensive plug-in.
For me it´s mainly about workflow now and iOS lacks a lot here. But it might be great for people with low budget and to get started with high quality sounding synth.

Is there a way I could sync this and trigger it via MIDI from a Windows 10 PC, running Ableton Live 10 Suite and using the app on an iPhone 6? Or do I need to buy a Mac desktop for that!?
I bought the Model 15 app a while back and also got the Studiomux app, but to be honest it was such a headache trying to use it, I gave up, even after watching Youtube videos I could not get it to work. Studiomux that is. As someone not particularly up on MIDI terminology etc. I found the instruction manual completely baffling, it reads as if it were written for an earlier version of the app than the one I have.
The Model 15 app sounds fantastic, and am sure this new one will, but these apps are of little use if I can't integrate them easily and quickly with my computer. Half an hour of faffing is an excellent inspiration killer.

Yes, this is easy. http://midimux.com/redlester wrote:Is there a way I could sync this and trigger it via MIDI from a Windows 10 PC, running Ableton Live 10 Suite and using the app on an iPhone 6? Or do I need to buy a Mac desktop for that!?
If all you need is MIDI, it's free. It is an AU host with a corresponding app that runs on your PC or Mac. It shows up as a MIDI interface in your DAW. Sends MIDI to MidiMux, which drives whatever AU instruments you want, including Model D. It will also work with non-AU instruments (like Thor) via virtual MIDI ports.
For return audio over the same USB connection, they have a paid version that costs $9.99. That's necessary for a PC, I think. On Mac, return audio is natively supported from iOS devices via Audio MIDI Setup.app.

The reason Moog makes IOS apps is because the iPad is a very tangible touchable experience. I’m sure these apps provide a lot of extra income, but I don’t think they would do it if you couldn’t actually put your fingers on it and PLAY it.

who wants VST/AU/AAX, lets all contact them and make a request!

Korg made VST/AU port of their Odyssey iOS app after user request.
now everyone lets ask Moog nicely

After some time i must say that it‘s close to unusable on my 5.5“ iPhone. GUI is terrible to work with. Sound is great, workflow...nope.Dullee wrote:who wants VST/AU/AAX, lets all contact them and make a request!

I guess on iPad it‘s O.K.
VST/AU would be nice....but then we already have better modulars and even maybe better Minimoog there. We wouldn‘t get it for 5 dollar.
So maybe it‘s all good like it is......until one day Apple allow iOS apps on mac and they might even work as AUv3 then....could hurt at least mac sales for some synths.
But then ES2 even can sound more beefy (but not so growly).
