I don't care if it won't be 5 bucks price. I wouldn't mind paying 50. for a stable VST/AU/AAX, surely.

so once again, anyone who WANTS them, I suggest lets contact and request. https://www.moogmusic.com/contact

Yes, this is easy. http://midimux.com/

If all you need is MIDI, it's free. It is an AU host with a corresponding app that runs on your PC or Mac. It shows up as a MIDI interface in your DAW. Sends MIDI to MidiMux, which drives whatever AU instruments you want, including Model D. It will also work with non-AU instruments (like Thor) via virtual MIDI ports.

For return audio over the same USB connection, they have a paid version that costs $9.99. That's necessary for a PC, I think. On Mac, return audio is natively supported from iOS devices via Audio MIDI Setup.app.
Thanks but this is what I've already tried, and couldn't get to work. I have the paid version, Studiomux because I wanted the the audio over USB option.

When I get time and a clear head I will try it again from scratch.

I just listened to some sound demos, and, must admit, i heard better softie Minimoogs. May be slightly better than the Arturia one, but, not quite reaching the levels of Monark or Legend, IMO.

I can play them all in realtime and all inside Logic at the same levels to have a fair test.
There is no better one really. They are more all like real analogs. All slightly different.
But the included FX and extra options (or lack of them) are the main differences here.
But the best Minimoog was still the one i build myself within P900 ( :clown: )
If i would have to judge the price/sound the Moog app is of course the winner here.
But the workflow is not so great.

I watched another sound demo, and, it surely has more beef than the Arturia Minimoog. There's something which is not so cool with the short decay filter sound though. Sort of has that typical flat/boring soft synth sound to it.

BTW, i read that they modelled it after the Model D reissue? So, that would already explain a different sound.

Cannot get past the first instruction with Studiomux app on the iPhone. It wants me to "drop an instrument" on one of the channels, but I have no idea how to do that.

I get the feeling it is really designed for iPad, not iPhone. The graphics screenshots in the manual look nothing like what I see on my screen.

So after i settled down with it and try to forget about the not so good GUI i must say that it´s indeed the best one of all the Minimoog emulations for me (P900 doesn´t count here since it´s a modular).
I take it back and want that now as VST/AU too. :D
But as with Animoog, Model 15 and now Model D i doubt that will happen anytime soon.

Better to spend the extra and get the newer one so you can charge the iPad as well:

Well, he did ask what cable do I use, so I told him. :)

Yes, looks like Apple has another adapter out that you linked, but I'm not going to fork out 40+ dollars for a 3 dollar adapter.

However, If you are going to buy for the first time, yeah, you might as well get the one where you can charge your iPad as well.

They're all stupidly overpriced though... :(

Real reason iOS and no VST:
Because we don't have the resources to do so.

We're a small company with a very small engineering team. On iOS we can control and test everything, making a VST opens us up to many different operating systems, DAWs, hardware configurations, ... we simply don't have the people and the infrastructure to create and support this properly at this time.

They are probably all partly true

They should then start with macOS only..... :D
But maybe if i can finally run my iOS apps on mac i don´t have to care.
