Yo KVR!
I have known and used KVR and its forum professionally for at LEAST 10 years. Time to register a proper user.
Here is a short intro:
I'm a sample-based hip hop artist/beatmaker. Sampling is my obsession. I have a constant drive to ee how far sample-based music canbe pushed. How many sound sources of decent length can be combined in a new work and still make sure that it makes musical sense. Hpw creatively can you chop a sample. How much can you manipulate a drum sound, etc.
I'm working on a hip hop instrumental album based on this obsession with pushing the boundaries of sampling. My biggest hip hop beatmaker inspirations are: RJD2, DJ Shadow and Damu the Fudgemonk.

LL's philodopy: recycle old audio: bits and pieces off 100% unrelated, old — often obscure — vinyl, in order to combine them to a new work — in a musically meaningful — and satisfying — way, despite very varied genre/era origins. Like solving a puzzle!
