The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

and, i use cannabis when both making or performing music (explains a lot) is that what this threads about?

i also use it when others are performing, it heightens the pleasure of the good stuff and helps with the boredom during the not so good.

panacea indeed.

They legalized it here I think. I'm sure I need an ID to go in and buy it from the dispensary. I go down to Jones at Market in SF and somebody in no time at all presents and has strong weed; and now a lotta 'em aren't even being furtive about the transaction. It's kind of bizarre.

So Gina Turner is "performing live" in DC tonight.....the DC City Paper, a print and online publication with significant circulation has this listed as a "critic's pick".....the first video that came up when searched was this

A significant enough demographic sees this as a compelling value added proposition at $45?
Absolute garbage. See, what she is doing, I do every time I am in my studio as I work my way towards a sound or song element I am experimenting with adding. It would be ridiculous to have someone pay me to listen to me trying to figure out what to add to my existing songs and those are better than this. Sheep.

Funny thing is, I am just as turned off by the virtuosos. Like those metal guys who actually think you need to hear a guitar solo that lasts for more than a minute. As you can probably figure out, Jazz is not something I enjoy.
Even I was offended by what I was going to put here.
