I’m not sure if i was using the synth right but i got a lot of really nice clanky bell sounds by playing the MIDI keyboard in a super high register and letting the synth lose it’s mind (maybe aliasing or something…) it’s a neat little thing i stumbled upon when i accidentally nudged my MIDI keyboard like 3 octaves too high.

Yeah, I found that too it was a happy accident... :)

They seem to hire artificial stupidity instead of humans, they also trust bots more than humans. They removed one of my pieces, because it was quoting an old GDR cassette "Glocken der DDR" which does not contain any copyrighted material.

My adventure and entry for OSC..Only got about a day with it due to technical difficulties trying to get the link working for me. I had fun though, Very capable synth and I truly believe this was really good for Seaweed's future Fathom development!

When machines tell human beings they are not human beings...
That is kYbernetic mind control ;-)

Was thinking a bit about what influenced my track, I think it was Disneys "The black hole" staring a excellent maximilian schell and second "The ring"...the white noise bursts when they take over control over your tv set and creep out of the screen...it's funny to analyse oneself's track...

That is this white noise stupidity on youtube

if we allow machines to take over control...and they tell us we're wrong...and if everybody acts according to that paradigma...I think I made the right track at the right time...

I'd like to think Soundcloud is showing it's human side with an April Fools prank, but that would be impossible.
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

:wheee: Ok after more crashes then ever before in my year+ at osc, and more rendering of instances as well, I finally was able to finish. Ironically, I didn't freeze the lfo wub bass which was strangely sensitive to every little automation and note length... That means the sound design essentially went out the window, unless I had rendered each clip as though it was a separate instance of the same patch, which is theoretically legitimate... Hindsight is 20/20. :phones:

Fathom is one of the most capable synths for sound design. I enjoyed using the Massive wavetables provided by Trisamples, and some of free cymatics ones. Importing wavetables properly is not my strong point, but it seems like there should be some sort of normalization. There are so many parameters in Fathom to manage, some seem to only work in certain situations, and it reaches some sort of critical mass of ram use after only a few instances, causing crashes when the GUI is loaded! However, learning to manage the parameters and unique quirks of Everett's style of workflow has taught me many things. I almost failed this challenge, but I'm glad I persevered. I'm thankful to be able to join you all.

Hey -- just wanted to wish everyone good luck -- there are some great sounding entries. I was not able to make a song this month, but am really impressed with Fathom, and want to throw out a thank you to the developer for being so responsive and involved!

Omg man I felt like I could actually keep pushing the RMS even higher than what I did for the final render on the master without it totally losing its mind and getting totally crispy. Impressive plugin imho.

Me too, but the bot accounts can be completely annoying at times. I think I hit the report button almost as much as the like button sometimes. Nature of the beast, I suppose.
