i always wonder when hearing those sounds what those exactly are? i couldnt hear a preset in a full synth like this yet, yet they are so dominant in cinematic libraries.

i mean those at 8, 12 and 16 seconds

https://soundcloud.com/thesoundyeti/col ... -fx-bundle

does anyone know how these could be defined, and maybe how these could be made yourself?
I created a similar sound today for the Cinematic 2 XP
I attached a slimmed and simplified version for you here, so you can take this as start how to make this.
Only con is, that you will need to wait until the version 1.3.5 of Avenger is released out, since I created the preset with this version. :ud:

How? Once a sample is imported as regular audio sample, you can't load it in granular engine.
will come in an update. Under the hood its a bit more difficult to do as it may seem.
Nice thank you for working on that. this is going to be a great feature to get the samples faster into the granular module. Fingers cross to get a feature in the granular module to make the grains even smaller for making Pads and soundscapes. :)

ahhhh great, this is a big gripe for me, well not that big but cool when it will work :tu:

Sorry, if this has been asked before...

1. Is there any way to make the mod envelope get triggered by something and then being free/global running like a global LFO (meaning not getting retriggered again)???

2. Is there any way to get i.e. mod envelope presets into the custom LFO`s???

3. Is there a possibility to save custom LFO shape presets???

1, yes just set the triggermore to "first midi note". The envelope is then being startet 1 time, you can then apply loop markers so the envelope can work kind of a sequencer

2 no, but you can use the mod env with loop markers like an LFO, the mod env has a speed value (same as rate). Its bpm locked or free running, as you wish.

3 no, but you can save mod envs

And this is, what doesn´t work here (at least not as I want), that´s why I ask...

I have a ramp up (0-100%) over 4 bars modulating cutoff and a midi pattern in my DAW with Fminor chord(2bars) followed by a D#major (2 bars)...

I set the mod env to loop mode and trigger to first note...
If I run the sequence the mod envelope gets retriggered as soon as the D#major chord is triggered...
That´s, what I want to avoid...
I want the first chord to trigger the envelope, which shall rise over both chords, without getting retriggered on the chord change

sounds to me, like you lift your fingers off completely, I mean, Avenger plays nothing between those 2 Chord Notes, so it will (of course) reset the Envelope when a note is pressed then.
A solution could be, to create an invincible OSC (volume 0) with a LONG Midi Note in your Sequencer,
which holds Avenger in the game, means, which will continously keep the envs playing.

But the correct solution is, using your DAW (!), since what you trying to do here, is DAW automation, not modulation inside an Avengers' preset
so just route anything you want to automate onto Avengers Macro1 knob (Filter cutoff) and then automate this knob from your DAW. Now
you are completely independend from Midi Notes or whatever, furthermore if you start your sequencer playback in the middle of the ramp somewhere, it starts on the correct automation value already

Ok, I already thought so...

About the DAW automation, I took a bad example...
What I wrote is of course a better job for automation...
What I had in mind was more a more complex LFOish repetitive modulation which shall not be retriggered on chord change...
That´s of course a better job for a global LFO, but the edit windows of the custom LFO´s are quite tiny and there are already nice presets for the mod envelope so I searched for a solution in this part... but the retriggering is a show stopper for this type of thing I am looking for... :(

No, it's no show stopper. Just use the global first trigger and do like MSVS suggested: add a long note on a separate OSC, which will be your first trigger.

Yeah, you are right...

But fortunately, there is even no need for a "dummy" OSC...

I just tried to just remove the lowest octaves, which I never use anyway from the used OSCs in the zones tab and made a long note lower than (in my case) C1, which now triggered nothing in Avenger but the mod envelope...
This worked well... :tu:

I just reinstalled my DAW and had to reinstall Avenger
I pushed the VMAN button and downloaded all my add-ons, but 2 of them have not been added to Avenger?
How can I get these added? alle the files were downloaded in the avenger dir like "VPS_Avenger_XP_Tropical_House.avxp"but just not vissible in the plugin?

Question does vengeance sound effect bundle have a mid side compressor. It would be awesome if there was a mid side distortion to add more presence to the bass

Post

Surprised that there is no recent news about the new OSC module? And no one is asking more about it?
I thought it was coming at the Easter holiday but that was not so apparently.
So used to get teased with new info!

Hope it's turning out goood ;)

Post

no it will not come out to easter (no timeframe set yet)
I will post a teaser video soon, I guess then will be more questions about it. At the moment there is 0 information out :D
