I finally bought this amazing package (to me....in terms of price and software quality). The code was still valid but I am still waiting for bestservice to give me the answer how can I get the Access Code. remark : I had some Steinberg's products installed but not sure how can I activate it via some other resellers.

The offer is basically very good!

Unfortunately not for me. I have most of the products and an upgrade is no gain for me.

I feel unhappy about Steinberg's pricing policy.

Keep in mind that this is the cheapest way to own all Steinberg plugins and keep them all up to date in the future. Unless you own all of the plugins but one, it's probably still worth it. You can also sell some of the duplicate licenses to get some of your money back.

It's not possible to upgrade from multiple licenses because of the way the eLicenser system works. It can only check for and replace one license at a time.

I don't find Halion's interface cumbersome. It's a pretty deep plugin so of course there's a bit of a learning curve, but I think they did a good job at presenting information in a way that makes sense for a highly customizable interface.

I think the only things I would change about it is making it possible to assign modulation by right clicking (they have already announced that they're planning to improve the modulation system though) and maybe make a tweak or two to the mixer.

You have the activation code listed in your account on the Bestserice site. You punch that number into your eLicenser Control Center application to download the license to your eLicenser. And then you need to synchronize the eLicenser back with your Steinberg account. Once you have done that the software shows up in your Steinberg account and you can download it from there.

btw, the download-manager does not show what version you have installed and also not what version is available. (Padshop for example - same with some others - that's really bad)

Ah, ok, I guess they ran out of codes. Mine was in there immediately when I bought it two days ago.

Would be unheard of. And a reseller running out of codes happens quite often. Standard procedure. I wouldn‘t worry.

I think it is a great deal. Just remember that if you have duplicates, reselling is a pain...you will need an eLicenser to send the license on.

I wish they could handle that part differently.

Thanks for your reply. It actually passed > 18 hrs but I can only see an installation pdf in my account. I d/l it and it has a link point me to Steinberg. The download access code still haven't received !

The license/activation code should be listed at the "My Products" page right above the "Create new download links" link. If it is not there they probably need to restock license codes from Steinberg. Give it another day.

That beat service offer is great for 199. Do they offer a download option like Steinberg though if you don’t want the dongle?

I’m just not sure if it’s worth getting this rather than just Halion 6. All of the Halion SE content comes with Halion 6 anyways right? And retrologue and Padshop Pro have their modules completely covered by Halion 6. So I guess it just whether you want groove agent, the piano and the extra halion has packs for dance and cinematic. For me that’s mostly no. And I noticed someone selling Halion 6 in the marketplace the other day for 120. I guess with the recent deals we will see the odd Halion good up for a good price.

So I guess I’m torn.
