I experience almost no sound during movements (there is some sound but it's not really loud in my opinion) . And also extremely fast movements during automation changes.

Its only faders one and five that sound abit dodgy, the rest seem ok, They all work fine and the automation is very quick but Iam concerned at how long they can last. I wonder if it will be possible to purchase replacement faders from Behringer similar to those on standard Skratch mixers.

hi, i'm experiencing problems here :?
i tried the BFC2000 on two of my winXP home sp1
i can get it to wrok Perfectly on my Game OS (not fully updated winxp home sp1)
the BCFview emulation is soo..... :o wonderfull! it's perfect with sx2!!

but in the other hand my Main music OS (fully updated winxp home sp1), whenever i try to use BCFview with cubase sx2..., well... it's running, SX2 can send message to BFC2000 and conotrl the faders by mouse on screen, but BFC2000 itself CANNOT send any message into SX2 :(
however, if i close BCFview and rest midi, it works!
BUT without BCFview, things will get really low... and inconvenient...

under my music OS BCF2000 appear as "USBaudio" which is wired...

i can get it to work with BCFview when uninstall PCR50 USB midi controler, then install BCF2000 driver (it appear as "BCF2000" this time), but Motu896 wont work too well, also when i try to install PCR50 again, winXP can't see it's midi port.... damn.... i have all the same hardwares enabled under GameOS, it just dont have that much plugin installed... and it works perfectly....

i also updated to winxp SP2,but it wont help....

u know what i'm talking about? :?
sorry i don't know if u can understand me or not... but :help:

Hey it's working great here with the bcf emulations!

I had some driver issues first as the bcr was installed first with the older drivers, I had to uninstall and manually delete the old drivers in winxp directories. After that it worked perfectly.

You should also look for control surface settings within your sequencer to check for max usb and/or midi bandwidth % or delay and reactivity time, and set the encoders 7 and 8 of the B-Control Edit Global page to reasonnable figures like 100 for delay line (encoder 7) and 0-20 for midi data interval (encoder 8 ), or anyway find the best values for your set up out of these settings that are determining the responsiveness of the unit.

I tried to connect the bcr along with te bcf in S3-U4 modes but it didn't do it so but I needed a usb longer cable to wire the bcr in usb too. I'm buying that cable today (was closed on monday) and after that I don't think anything will resist to their control inside the sequencer :P

Also indeed who wouldn't wonder how long the mechanism of the BCF will stay clean and supple? But I'd say it depends on the care you apply to its handling mostly (not forcing the motors, avoiding salty air of the see shore, covering against the dust when off, not using as a morey boogie nor sitting on it, etc.) Otherwise the ISO9000 production norm is sthg serious and this electro-mecanical gear should be working without troubles for 3 or 5 years minimum imo : that's what I'm waiting for anyhow (but we'll keep the tracing of non working gears and warranty issues I'm sure)

I also upgraded my sound card to an emu 0404, and wow! it's a complete new studio I'm facing now!
Just the time to get new habits, to read the emulated machine's original docs, to arrange cables and dispose the machines on the desktop and let's go for the rock'n'roll!!! :D

(Btw, the emu 0404 is extraordinary good sounding, with and w/o the onboard dsp. The onboard effects are really surprising too and the 32 asio virtual I/O is just wha you need to use it fully. I recommand it to anyone working with an older terratec/m-audio/whatever cheap card : there's a kind of tech gap between these and this new emu card, I had a shock, it blew my ewx2496 in so many little pieces of shit I uninstalled this old good ewx2496 already and for good. Also the emu 0404 asio driver is very working good at low latencies (2-4ms), and the dsp routing is super easy once you've got the trick. When they'll release at last the vst emulated versions of their dsp, directly accessible inside the seq, it'll be heaven's next door again  )

Behringer (and Emu) have been striking really hard with these expandable products, and the developpment has not been pushed to its edge at all yet, so but already what they offer is a major boost to any home studist who isn't equipped yet.

I bet the bca is a good gear too it just started shipping I read.

What we need now is an emu mode for the bcr, the famous B-Control Edit software, (and the EMU vst emulation for the 0404), and it'll be perfect!

Is it possible to program a rotary controller on the BCR2000 to be a jog wheel? And would it also be possible to program aone to be a zoom knob for the vertical zoom?

i have exact same problem as dxl, works fine on general use OS, not on music OS. Right pain in the arse it is too. Same problem with driver too. It appears as usbaudio driver using standard windows driver but when i install the beringher driver (older or newer) the MIDI ports disappear.
bcfview won't work under standard windows driver, presumably as it ain't multiclient.

Firmware is updated to 1.6

Let me know if you find any solutions.

Hi guys.

I got my BFC two days ago and I have the exact same problem as dxl have / had.

I haven't installed the Behringer drivers yet but have som far used the WinXP generic USB device drivers.

If ANYONE have any ideas about what to do it'll be much appreciated !

Thanks !

Just instal BEHRINGER`s MIDI/USB driver 1.1.1.0, and use ports that it allows. Everything will be ok.

Good news for all BCR2000 users, a non official independant BCR2000 graphic editor is available following this link (thx goes to Wil_Weber the author of the utility and to Ceedjay for the link  ) : http://forum.cubase.net/forum/Forum5/HTML/013847.html

The editor allows to quickly assign any BCR2000 knob&rotary to any desired function, including the Store/Learn/Edit/Exit buttons, to save the created preset and even to dump it directly to the machine, which is great, as it takes no time to set up, and lets you see the whole panel on 3 tabs :)

Thanks for putting the link here Bebop

Sure hope he does a BCF one
