... again forget to tell: DAW Logic 9, 8 Instances of JuceOPL, Host plug-ins: harsh EQs on every channel, SpaceDesigners (IR from Briscati, they are all free), PtVerb, GoldVerb, DirectionMixer (StereoToMono), TAL-Filter as Pan ... couple of Sends .. some of them make no sense, but loud ....

I see you are trying hard to get your trademark sound out of this limited synth. I'm sure it is fierce battle.] Peter:H [ wrote:Some WiP: https://soundcloud.com/p-e-t-e-r-h/imma ... st/s-N3aaz

I'm trying to do the opposite in this round. First time in my life I'm trying very hard to make Jazz track, but I absolutely have no clue how to do it

Would make a nice band name "Desaster Area".TrojakEW wrote:I'm sure this will be disaster

A bit of swing, some nice walking basslines, great horn stabs, and you can always do some improvisation - heck, why not do freeform jazz? Then almost anything goes - I once saw a group when the drummer got up and danced around on bubblewrap to do the percussion sounds and solo! Mind you the piano player got inside the grand piano to play it - a very strange jazz concert -they group also did some "standard" jazz and were brilliant - go figure - what's jazz - well, anything goes?TrojakEW wrote: ... now how the hell I do Jazz![]()

I might continue with the blues - may go for another ambient styed piece - of a very minimalist jazzy number, trio based perhaps - sometimes it's nice to strip things right down - a good example being Lokken's ambient track in Fathom.

Anyone else having trouble using this in reaper? It did work initially but after loading the project a few hours later it says the plugin is not available, I rescanned my VST folder and it doesn't show up at all anymore.

I've had a bizarre screw-up, destroying my entire drum set. Only loading an older version brought it back to life. All parameters were identical. No idea what the heck happened, but it is/was scary!

https://soundcloud.com/zerothefox/juce-spill/s-cRKmg Got a WIP of my own here. unlike VST2413, it actually sounds nice layered up some seven times. Drums are a bitch to make, pardon my French, and the pitch bend or lack thereof is another limiting factor. Yes I'm using external filters in it, but I assume it's alright since I did the same in my 2413 entry.
It's very tasty, I swear!

Would not call it a fierce battle...a challenging synth, a bottle of beer and the mind set that the synth "can make suggestions for which direction it want's to go with me". Together we make good progress...TrojakEW wrote:I see you are trying hard to get your trademark sound out of this limited synth. ), trumpet and epiano and now how the hell I do Jazz

I'm sure this will be disaster
But I understand your point - sound design is this time limited, the number of FX will "slightly" increase and I think it's the perfect round for guys with great compositional skills...
