'thenewsearch.com' bullshit IE toolbar hijack nastyness

I've got an extra toolbar that's been deviously added to IE, and it's not on the View, Toolbars dialogue so I don't know how to get rid of it. It appears to be to do with Porn (whoops!). Whilst it may be handy to have a porn-search toolbar, it's taking up too much space.
Yes, I know, I should use another browser, and I do, but sometimes IE is what I like to use.

Out of curiosity, checked the page. There seems to be an uninstall utility for it available on the bottom,
"if problem, click here"
Try it, it might work
This is propably yet another variant of the dreaded CoolWebSearch plague you have encountered. Sadly the developer of the only 100% remedy stopped his activities recently, but there's a couple of tools that seem to work on most variants, CWShredder and so on. Just google for CoolWebSearch and you'll see.
I can check out what that uninstall.exe does exactly if you're uncertain about trying it.
Regards,
JMH

It opens to that page and immediately there's a pop-up to install a dialer to a f**king $1.50 per minute line!!!!!!!

Look in the registry in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars
You'll see lots of CLSIDs. Search for each one in turn in the registry - one will/should look obviously bad. Delete that CLSID key from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars
and reboot.
