Check out their 'Rythemersizer' or whatever it is. Its like an LFOTool on roids, and it does not get mentioned half as much.
I think their MB Distortion kicks out some nice sounds, but it often doesnt get mentioned with the other big ones.

At least they stopped using only faders. :hihi:
I mentiond m distortion years years ago its amazing, but yes there fee and paid stuff is well worth the money also I like the auto align

Thank you folks. I'd like to clarify a few things:

1) The dynamic eqing is absolutely not only for correcting problems. MAutoDynamicEq is like a normal eq, but with more sophisticated filters (I don't know any other eq with variable slope filters, which are extremely useful and great sounding) and you can use the dynamic capabilities to just make it sound right:
e.g. kick drum doesn't have much bass when hit softly, so you use a peak filter to amplify them, but then you find out there's too much bass when hit loud... well, you can use a multiband compressor or some other advanced tool, or you can just drag down the vertical arrow in MAutoDynamicEq ;).

You don't even need to touch anything except for the main graph with bands (unless you want of course). So basically its EXTREMELY easy to use (unless you want to prove yourself you are a rocket scientist :) ).
And then there are the quick LP & HP filters, which I personally use like on every track. And the analyzer + sonogram, areas, M/S etc...

2) Auto-matching - it depends. Of course if you match completely different things, the results are crazy, but many people (including) use this feature with quite a success. And the point is, even if you don't like the results, you can just tweak the bands, so you can use the spectral matching just to "help you out" in the beginning.

Have to jump on the dynamic eq bandstand and scream softy into the filter that MAutoDynamicEq is an amazing 'creative' tool as well a dynamic problem solver. The interface is a bit intimidating at first, but the simple options work simply. The advanced tweaking capabilities are stunning.

The auto-matching is more useful that I expected, with the option to 'sound like' or 'not-sound-like' providing areas of tonal exploration I didn't know existed. It is deep, wide, dynamic eq, with spectral shaping and display options that made it a must-have I didn't know I had to have.

If this was KVR and I was writing a review, MAutoDynamicEq would get a 10 out of 10. :D
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

FF stuff is amazing. But I only own MAutoDynamicEq in this case, and can vouch for it's performance. I've used its dynamic slopes to tame resonance peaks with great sucess too.

Meldas MAutodynamicEQ is in Version 11 now and on sale this week and avaible for 50 EUR what is a total bargain. This EQ is extremly deep and totally musical sounding and can be used as a normal go to EQ too. Filter and slope options are fantastic and so are the the modulation parameters - as in all Melda tools. There are normal meters, sonograms and many more visual tools build in other companies alone would charge 50$ or more for.

This is a no brainer and it comes along with NO dongle, online-confirmation, or shit like this plus life-time update guarantee. No matter how many Plugins you own from Melda, you can download ONE licence file for all your Plugins and you just have ONE installer!!! Pure comfort. Great great sound. Even a simple tremolo sounds great deep and warm. Any further question? :tu:

Is MADeq low on consumption i.e low enough to be used on every channel?

Post

Hi el-bo,
I opened 14 instances of the EQ and set them all up with different presets. Had the Mflanger and Valhalla Room opened and played Lounge Lizard 4 through all of it. CPU usage was about 45 percent. I runned it on an 11 years old Quad-Core PC, Win7 64 bit machine. All Melda instances were running in high quality. You can change that to very low of you like to save much power. You can set live processing and rendering quality separately.

Cheers.

Are you working on some new tunes? I hope so!

I hope FabFilter will come up with a real dynamic eq one day. Meanwhile their ProMB can be used as one.

When it comes to dynamic EQs: HOFA IQEQ and TDR Nova are awesome and easy to use.

Hi plexus,
I am more focused on sound-experiments just for the joy of sound in general. But most time I am spending at the moment is on improving keyboard skills and working and trying out new stuff based on music (jazz) theory. I am studying the piano, practicing drills and improvising every day for 1 to 3 hours. It's a looooong maybe never ending but also a total joyful way to go :)

Another vote for TDR NOVA.

Can't help but reach for Pro-Q 2 every single time due to fast loading, low CPU and intuitive interface - but it's not dynamic.

TDR Nova is great too on another level. I got their different EQs and like them a lot.

Thanks for checking (Was refused re-demoing, last year). I guess that, given the age of your computer, it wouldn't be a problem.

I guess it just comes down to the ui/gui. They are manageable for me in smalldoses, but I'm not sure I could face them on every channel.

Might go with e.q.4, or just stick with Logic's built-in Channel Eq :shrug;

Thanks again :tu:
