I have a question, can I route cubase's metronome to only one channel instead of first two??

You can use a midi metronome instead of audio click in cubase, then you can route whatever you want to whatever you want. go to transport->metronome setup.

ok here's what I'm trying to do:

I have a soundcard with 6 outputs and I'd like to use as much of them as I can.

Right now I send channels 1 & 2 (with metronome) to small mixer which sends it to headphones the drummer uses, so he hears metronome.

And channels 3, 4, 5 & 6 I send to main mixer with my synth sounds.

But the small mixer that powers the headphones can also deal with only one channel (for example channel 1) and send it out to headphones.

Then I could use channel 2 as additional channel for my synth sounds to mixer. But the problem is that it also has metronome. So I would like to get rid of it in that channel...

Ok, but you can still use any synth as a metronome using the method I described, then you won't have to have the metronome in any more than one channel.

ok, but I don't have an extra synth right now for that. I would still like to use an audio click...
